What Hector said about the audacity of claiming ownership over the dragons seems to be a bigger theme in the show then I think a lot of people were expecting. Only targaryens are supposed to be able to ride them and we deliberately saw one seek out someone without Targaryen blood to bond with. The power to challenge a dynasty can come from anyone not just a noble but only the nobles believe that power is their right. *Cough* Last Jedi themes *cough*
