Werewolf by Night Uncut Reaction!

Happy Friday! The spooky season continues with the premiere of the brand new Marvel Studios special from director Michael Giacchino, Werewolf by Night. We're really excited to see Giacchino's Marvel directorial debut and how this idea of a "special presentation" could help usher in new characters and styles into the MCU.

Note: The watchalong does not feature the Disney+ logo intro, so please adjust your stream accordingly.

Stay tuned for reactions to Hellraiser, Halloween, Halloween Kills, and more!

Agustin going "you got it boo boo" to the monster running away is all I needed today thanks amigo

Super late on this one lol. Back in Thor: Ragnarok, we se Ted’s head sculpted on the Grandmaster’s tower on Sakaar. I wonder if we’ll ever see any glimpse of his time in the MCU as Champion of Sakaar

Pirate Dad

Loved it, but it brought back memories of Grimm (which I also loved) so a series with Elsa Bloodstone and Jack (and I guess Man Thing) isn't out of the question for me. Especially after seeing Grimm take care of the bad guys and there still being good monsters. *shrug* I'm not a comic book person so I see a cool story, I always hope for more.

These Patreon videos pop out in Opera so you can switch to Disney+ and put the guys in the bottom corner. =)

OMFG, I'm a Monster Movie Monday afternoon middle school kid from the 70s again. That was so good. I hope they do more specials / special occassion stuff like this again. The details are awesome if

Peter Evans

Man-Thing has always been one of my very favorite Marvel "fringe" characters since I started reading comics in the early 70s. I was SO happy to see him included in this - especially after the unfortunate 2005 movie. As the Guardian of the Nexus of All Realities, he's such an important Marvel character - so hey, time for Ted to get his due!

Zzzax_Loves_Hulk

The narrator is Rick D. Wasserman, who's been in a lot of Marvel animated stuff. I honestly thought it was Clancy Brown at first - it sounds almost exactly like him!

Zzzax_Loves_Hulk

This was amazing, I loved it so much. Give me more shorts like this in different styles. Also you could really feel the director was the composer, the music worked to heighten everything happening in the scene. Give me more!

Roman Penna

I will agree with Hector, Gael as Jack is so charming, and so sweet, you fall in love with him. The same with Ted. We now have fallen in love with this pair, and I can't wait to see them pop up somewhere else.

Jennifer Wolfe

Loved your video! Hated that it wouldn't open in Chrome, so I had to watch it on the tiny portrait Patreon screen, but that's not y'all's fault. Michael Giacchino needs to direct more monster specials for Marvel!

G to the A

To expand on this, it would be amazing if they added these shorts to the MCU theatrical releases, just as they used to in that era of film.

Zakk Rome

I really enjoyed this. So much fun, and incredibly well-done. Nailed the Universal/Hammer Horror vibe. Add my vote to all the others saying more shorts like this exploring the unique smaller spaces in the MCU would be wonderful.

Jon Allanson

As a classic horror fan this special was right up my alley. Loved everything about it from the old school werewolf design to the cheesy crypt keeper homage. I would definitely watch more from Giacchino in the future and the score was stellar.

Megan England

I thought that would be another cool tie into MCU. Just the idea that the Watcher is also looking into this part of the multiverse.

Kevin Adamson

I feel like that's only because he said the phrase 'The known universe'.

crftd

I thought the same thing also but its not

ROBBY G.

I really think it has been one of the failings of both comic movie companies that more things like this haven't been attempted. Give us shorts or one offs or things like that featuring minor characters to expand and broaden your universes. Still give us stuff involving Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Thor, Cap, the Avengers, etc, but also find ways to present your audience with other content drawing upon your rich histories. Werewolf by Night and Peacemaker are two prime examples of what can be done in the right hands with smaller, more unknown characters. Give us more of that.

B. Joseph

This was great to watch. Is it just me or does the narrator at the beginning sound like the Watcher from What If.

Kevin Adamson

They should do a special edition infinity war in black and white with just the stones in color

Jeremy Lloyd

So I just witnessed Marvel's version of the Beauty and the Beast? Beautiful, I love it, refreshing. When was the last time a composer was also the director and producer? Wow.

Robert von Heeren

Loved the episode. Loved the commentary!

Eduardo Gomez

Loved loved Gael as Jack, are you kidding me?! What a fun special!! Michael Giacchino killt it.

Angela

That was so good. Loved the 1930's Universal Monster movie aesthetic. If I ever run into a big scary monster, I am going to ask if it's name is Ted.

David Lonewolf Wright

Love you guys and your reactions. I think I have an audio processing issue, though, because the music you’re playing under your opening talk back and forth is very distracting. Its hard to filter out the vocal in the music and focus on what you’re saying. That being said, I’m really looking I forward to going through this reaction. The special was amazing!

Michael Charboneau

Man i really liked this show and the Reaction, thnks homies!! still want more xmen plz???

Freeman33

Loved the classic look of Jack's final form!

OleTad

This was really to watch! I didn't have much expectations, but this was way better than I thought it would be. Hope they do more of these down the road

Hey You! Productions

Do we think there is a chance that in the GotG holiday special that we will get our first mutant in the form of Santa?
