John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN debuted in October 1978 and featured the big-screen debut of Jamie Lee Curtis. It also introduced us to Michael Myers, a character whose legacy would endure more than 40 years. We hope you enjoy this watchalong whether it's your first time seeing it or your tenth time seeing it.
If you don't own the film, here are some ways to get it. You can stream it directly from SHUDDER, or you can stream or rent it through Amazon. If you're a physical media collector, we recommend the 4K restoration from Shout Factory.

2022-10-03 22:21:22 +0000 UTCAs someone that was steeped in Goosebumps books and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" airings as a kid, I think the first for-adults horror movie I watched was Child's Play. And maybe it's not as good a movie as Halloween (or maybe it's the too-similar-to-a-Good-Guys-doll my family bought me as a child) but I do not have the same love for it that Adam has for Halloween, LOL! Looking forward to all the spooky watch-alongs this month!

2022-10-01 23:52:31 +0000 UTCI actually love Halloween III: Season of the Witch. It is a totally different movie and I just love the vibe. The only problem is the lead male actor is terrible. I wish it had been somebody like Kurt Russel. The movie would be legendary with better casting.
