Thank you

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men, doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Tim Arnold

Now I’m going to have Tenacious D in my head whenever Elrond and Durin are on screen together.

Stephen Woods

How many rings were there all together. It's been a long time since I watched the movies (which I plan on doing after this season is over) but there were a lot of rings, if I recall, with "one ring to rule them all." I was always curious about the purpose of the other rings, that the elves, dwarves and men got.

The warg got me too when I first watched the episode 😂 Agustin is going full cosplay mode and I’m here for it: Hoochie shorts for Namor, yellow spandex for Wolverine, Dwarven armour for LOTR and now loin cloth for Conan 😂 love this for you Agustin!! Now get Hector and Adam on board 😉 Hope you’re having an amazing vacation Hector and please rest up Adam and Agustin. Appreciate all three of you! Love being in the fantasy world with you guys

Felicia B

Thank you guys for all these videos, please get some rest; and Hector, disfrute de sus merecidas vacaciones, señor.

Thankfully the show has a lot of lore and world building details to keep me entertained and intrigued. I wish the show was focused on Elrond, Durin and Disa in Khazad-dûm because that is the most fun part, with actual emotional connection... I get delighted by Khazad-dûm, intrigued by Adar and the southerners, but absolutely annoyed by Galadriel. I understand the need to fight the bigotry online but they did not write her well, and the problem has nothing to do with her being a fighter.

On Mount Doom being in the background: Bronwynn mentions Orodruin which is the name of the mountain/dormant volcano that becomes Mount Doom after Mordor is established. My guess for how the seasons will end up playing out. Season 1: The Numenoreans join Galadriel in defending the Southlands from Adar and the orcs. Season 2: Annatar comes to Gil-Galad, is turned away, goes to Eregion where he's accepted by Celebrimbor who is seduced by the knowledge Annatar wants to give and the rings are forged. The Elves perceive Sauron immediately. Suaron emerges and begins his war on the free peoples of Middle Earth. Season 3: Halbrand, as a King, is given a ring and becomes the Witch King. The Southlands fall; Mordor established, Mount Doom is awoken. Numenoreans coming to aid the Elves after most all of Middle Earth is conquered. Season 4: Sauron having been defeated is taken captive back to Numenor where he corrupts Pharazon and the rest of the island save the Faithful and the season ends with the downfall of Numenor and the establishment of Arnor and Gondor. Season 5: Only real time jump, 15-20 years maybe. Minas Tirith, Minas Ithil, Osgiliath, the Argonath and Orthanc are all built. Amon Sul is built. Palantir are placed. The Last Alliance of Elves and Men is formed and battle is joined in Mordor to defeat Sauron. Isildur cuts the ring and we end where Fellowship begins with the Ring being lost down the Anduin.

As I was watching this weeks' reaction, my dad + bro are watching Return of The King on tv..

Nurhadi Roshaimi

I do love how they're doing Numeror and making the kingdom very-well established and making their own decisions away from the Elves. Getting away from the implications inherent behind a group of people being given their land by another group. The showrunners are very clever in how they're dealing with the Tolkien material and I am here for it. Also Morfydd is amazing!

Roman Penna

Great reaction! Do you think the nugget of mithril Elrond was gifted could be used by Celebrimbor to create Nenya, Galadriel's ring.

I think, 4 episodes are enough to say: I feel so tired after watching each episode. This one I watched straight here, on Patreon with this guys, because I knew I couldn't watch it twice. Sad, I was interested in this show at the beginning 😑

Count Monte-Cristo

Great reaction, I am loving this show and watching along with you guys. I think the part about the starfall being a sign of Saurons return is a misdirect to make people suspect the stranger is Sauron. The way I see it is, Sauron is returning, so the Valar send someone to help deal with him (maybe Gandalf, maybe another wizard) so the starfall becomes a sign that Sauron is returning, maybe even part of a prophecy and is then able to be interpreted as a part of or the cause of Sauron returning as opposed to because he is returning.

Adar is essentially one of the first orcs ever created. When the elves were made by the gods Morgoth stole a group of them and twisted them to his will. Adar was one of the first and every generation after him the orcs get more and more disfigured and grotesque. Which is why the orcs in this show are just a little bit less disfigured than the orcs in the trilogy.

I've done my two watches on my own, now it's time to watch along with the guys. Can't wait to see your reactions to some of the parts of this episode that are still sticking with me.

Chris Williamson

From what I understand there will NOT actually be any massive time jumps. The showrunners said that is why they are condensing the timeline, so that they didn’t have to have some characters die off. Isildur and Elendil who we’ve met are fighting in the Last Alliance, which will more than likely be the last story of the final season. I know characters will be added in future seasons, but not massive time jumps. Also I’m pretty sure Adar is looking for the sword that Theo has. The 7 Palantiri do not come to Middle earth until Elendil brings them when Numenor gets destroyed. This episode had soooo many little Easter eggs and lore drops. It’s was great to hear Elrond talk about his father, it’s one of favorite stories from the Silmarillion. Can’t wait for more!🙌🏼🙌🏼

Another episode I greatly enjoyed. So well crafted and well delivered.

Jon Allanson

Yay!!! More Silmarillion readers🙌🏼

Thank you for your great discussions, as always! The passion with which you talk about this world actually made me buy the Silmarillion, and while it definitely takes time, I enjoy reading it so much. My love for Middle-earth was definitely reignited thanks to the show and thanks to you discussing it in depth!

Happy holiday, Hector!

Philip Smith

Have a great time Hector in Italy, my second home. I'm in the same spot as Adam, love that spot. And please no one change the cast in the first season. Also: so great that the show focuses on strong women, powerful. A critical note: are we getting used to the MOST STUNNING IMAGES OF THE CITY? The miriads of details? oh myyyy, so great.

Robert von Heeren

Great reaction and discussion. Love this series.
