For the next three weeks, we'll be journeying through Middle-Earth as a lead-in to our upcoming reactions to The Rings of Power. Hey Fellas! Ok so I have been trying to get into these movies for years....YEARSSSSS I tell you. My nerd friends shame me all the time. So when I saw y'alls watch along I said.... let me try.... one more time... with my homies..... And I have to say I liked it! I wouldn't say I'm a super fan but when my blerdy homettes have watch alongs I can now be included. Hector... you are out of control what was in that can..lol Finally, I believe everyone besides the body stunt double for she- hulk would be little spoon to Adam.... that being said...BRUH..I'd spoon it up too Hector..lol Ok on to #2.. And yes I did watch this for the first ime with you guys. Don't worry I have 4 brothers and have had a plethora of "youthful" employees... I know how to tune out nonsense,,,,lol

BUT, I have never watched any of the other movies in this franchise, so I will be watching the next movie for the first time with all of you and thought it was funny hearing Hector say he would feel bad if people watched these movies for the first time will you all. But your commentary is the reason I'm finally making time to watch these movies so thank you!

Lots of great details Agustin pointed out too. Never really considered the idea that long stretches of staircases never have any handrails. I guess it's just to make the audience feel nervous π .

I have never seen those versions, so this was already a great way to watch theatrical again before I finally see the extended versions.

But this time, after I rewatched it with you guys, I really liked the pace of it. Thank you for making me appreciating the theatrical version again. Looking forward to part II.

2022-08-20 10:01:24 +0000 UTCJust one correction, the cloaks they got were not from Rivendell they were gifts from Galadriel and they have the ability to camouflage as we see when Sam and frodo are at the black gate. Loved the reaction guys, I was laughing my fucking ass off at Hector as the contractor and also Hector after 3 drinks lol. Can't wait for 2 towers. Cheers boys.

However, I can also appreciate the changed made in order to make it digestible in movie format, especially to a new audience. There are some changes Iβm not fond of. BUT, taking out Tom Bombadil will always be something I agree with. Lol Iβve never understood the love for him π the only thing intriguing about him is where he comes from. The mystery of who he is. Otherwise, he has zero impact on the story and the chapters were a bit of a struggle to get through. And side note: ALL 4 hobbits are together when they meet Tom. they are all together when they leave the Shire. The circumstances are a bit different, but theyβre definitely all together. π
