Like Hector said, the past three episodes have felt a lot like setup, but it all felt worth it for me when we got to the moment when Marc and Steven embraced at the end of the episode. I don't think that emotional weight of them finding each other would have landed quite as strongly if we hadn't already had two and a bit episodes of them struggling with each other and being at each other's throat(s).

Issac is so good in these roles, and the fun is only beginning, apparently! Looking forward to the series conclusion and your reactions/commentary on it all.

2022-04-21 02:14:01 +0000 UTCThe "magical world is seemingly a delusion" thing has been done a lot, what I like about this version is that the show doesn't try to sell much, there are an impossible amount of Egyptian mythological things everywhere. Googling Egyptian hippopotamus goddess immediately tells me what is going on and I like it.

I didn't like how Layla wanted to argue in the tomb rather than do the logical thing: run first, bust his balls later? But I can allow it. I was a bit annoyed at the Steven with a V character in the first episode but now he has grown on me like an adorable chia pet.

2022-04-20 23:05:58 +0000 UTCLove this ep, tension from the beginning to the end, cinematic,many vibes, especially Mummy, the actors are crushing it with their performances. Also: love the new video player because of no adds, which were not too annoying but distracting and blocking out the time codes sometimes. BTW: I saw those Maguire Spiderman movies in the theaters back then and love it, especially the fact that he was able to web from his wrists. The chemistry between him and Dunst was outstanding.
