2022-01-13 17:24:29 +0000 UTCI never thought that i would feel as sad and upset for a group of Tusken Raiders, but the fact that i did, is a huge testament to what this show has done and 3 episodes. I am upset they killed them off but i am hopeful and confident that the directors and writers know what they are doing.

But if they each pull out a matching light saber with corresponding colors at some point in the next episodes all would be forgiven. The story better do right by the dead Tuskens. The pikes of the "Pikes" scene may be some foreshadowing. Enjoyed the Krrsatan wookie bit. Dpm

2022-01-13 05:55:08 +0000 UTCThe hot rod speeder bikes really took me out of this universe. They feel so anachronistic. They don't fit Star Wars but they especially don't fit Tatooine. They were also way too clean and cool looking for supposedly being poor street kids. Their look may have passed on Coruscant but it really didn't feel natural to the setting. At this rate I hope Fennec betrays Boba Fett and takes the throne. She is so much smarter and cunning it seems.

2022-01-13 05:31:40 +0000 UTCWasn’t the biggest fan of the cyperpunk, emo rockstar vibe, and the power ranger colored motorcycles seemed odd and out of place to me haha, but I’m not some dude bro star wars Chad who is gonna rage at the creative directors for it. It was different. Different isn’t bad. I am however pretty upset that they killed the tribe and it was just some event off screen. To me it kind of takes the importance of them away. And it’s yet again another sad, all too easily expected reality that the indigenous peoples die and our “hero outsider” has to avenge them. Feel like it could’ve been much more powerful of a message if they had said “yeah we’re not gonna follow those old unoriginal Hollywood tropes, and we’re going to keep them alive and make them valuable characters who develop the entire time”

Some shows I like to watch first and hit a second viewing with you, but this one has been really enjoyable with company straight out of the gate. Because it’s not as clear cut as The Mandalorian, it’s great to hear different takes and knowledge fills. It’s a little detail, but aside from Black Rage Wookiee yanking Boba from the bacta, my favorite part was the design of the transport cruisers the Pikes came out of. They had the detailing, ramps, and struts of the Millennium Falcon but were massive. So cool to see that aesthetic applied to a larger ship.

2022-01-12 20:58:30 +0000 UTCCan we just take a moment to enjoy the fact we get Danny Trejo interacting with Temura Morrison. That is something i didnt expect this show to do. Im really enjoying the story and how its unfolding bit by bit, i figured the pykes would be involved in the present day after the train robbery. They have long tied history with mandolorians and even Darth Maul and crimson dawn. This is starting to tie more movies with the animated shows which is really cool
