Hawkeye 1x06 Uncut Reaction!

Yes. I'm doing a re-watch, too! I noticed some details I didn't notice the first time around. For example, in episode 2, Kate has a wound on her temple and she slaps a band-aid on it. Clint shows her how to properly care for it. In episode 5, Kate re-injures herself and her mom slaps a band-aid on it. Two or three scenes later, you notice that Kate has redressed the wound the way that Clint showed her.

I just resubbed here so I’m catching up on the shows and I’m literally here one year later rewatching Hawkeye. And it definitely has that Christmas time rewatchability. So I cracked up when they talked about people rewatching during Christmas time. Lol

Alex Miguel

In regards to the musical and Ant-Man being included... Is this because this season of Hawkeye took place in an alternate timeline where Ant-Man showed up and helped in the end of the Battle of New York? And then this will be answered in Ant-Man 3 ??....

Fisk for sure isn't dead. My guess is Echo series will be about Maya trying to bring him down and be a hero trying to do better with Kates help as she knows ASL now. If Daredevil doesn't appear, then I'm taking a wild guess and Deadpool makes a cameo. (It's going to happen at some point & I know it's Disney+ show but it will tease DP3)

Jason Strunk

Fisk isn't dead. The shots are nearly mirror to a comic scene where Echo shoots Fisk in face and very next page is Fisk sat in his chair with bandages over his eyes. https://static2.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/daredevil-15-5.jpg

I think Eleanor reached out to Val the first time to get Clint killed. Then when things got worse she brought Fisk in.

Jonathan Frederick

And did you guys notice that Fisk has a meatgrinder attached to his table in the meeting with Eleanor?!? An old fashioned one with a hand crank?!? What a nice encouragement for constructive discourse!

If you've read the Echo series you know Kingpin ain't dead. They are referencing that series with that shooting. It's directly taken from the comic books. It was a great show and I really liked it. With great references back to the comic books. And I liked that little Agent 19 reference very much. And that Kingpin reveal...man that was good!

Jay McFly

Also if you look closely... Maya and Kingpin have their shadows cast on the wall of the building by the van headlights. You see both their shadows. As the camera pans up the shot rings out but neither shadow falls.

First post as a patreon. Totally forgot yall did Squid Games and kept it here... yoooou bastards. I love it. Please tell me yall plan to watch Arcane! I personally cant stand animated shows anymore. I feel to much of a disconnect from the story. Also I never once played League of Legends and think the game itself looks lame. But the show... THE SHOW! It is now in my top 5 shows of all time. It lives rent free in my mind. If you thought Squid Games was a good Netflix show... Arcane says hold my fucking beer.

Jonathan Frederick

Kingpin - totally not dead. Also, my girlfriend totally knew what the owl cameo was all about. Here's a link to the answer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knbQsU7dNgQ

I was fooled at the first time by Echo shooting Kingpin, but I don't think he is dead, because what would be the point and we only heard a sound not see him actually dead. Far too good of a character and actor than not using him for future shows.

Robert von Heeren

Kingpin is absolutely showing up in that Echo D+ show, I'd expect them to be following the DD plotline where Lopez blinds him. If the MCU version shows him getting hit by a car and thrown through a window before being in close proximity of all of the trick arrows and also shaking off an arrow launched by Kate - he's going to be able to tank a bullet. There could be the possibility that Lopez aimed the gun away from him before firing the shot, adding further suspicion to the off-screen shot.

techagek

I knew going into this episode the one unresolved storyline would be Echo/Kingpin, only because she's getting her own series and he's her main nemesis. This is how I picture the opening scene of Echo, the seres: the episode picks right back up in this ally. Echo is about to shoot Kingpin when out of nowhere a red billyclub flies out of the darkness, knocking Echo's gun aside...! Stay tuned.

Murph

Yes I think that Echo’s show will start in that scene.

Amilcar Collazo

No way Kingpin is dead. Like someone said earlier, the camera pans up and the shot happens off screen. Would have been cool, if Spidey made an appearance, but it would have taken away from the shows main focus. I was one of the people clamoring Marvel to give us more of Rogers the musical. I didn't necessarily want it as a post credit. Having said that, i've been walking around the house all day singing "I can do this all, DAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!" lol

Darryl

Hahahahahahahaha DEAD? Let me come up for air with all the DEAD Bros on twitter making me laugh too hard! SHIP me some West Coast Avenger/Young/New Avengers with Yelena and Kate and some Hawkeye and Mockingbird one offs that parallels what's happening in Phase 4. Bring back Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, the DareDevil and re-invent Iron Fist with a modernized story. Make it all work with MCU and Spider-man canons and move forward from there.

Peter Evans

I think the Echo seies will start with the Echo-Fisc scene, I am pretty sure 😉

A. Bielke

I like, that Marvel widens the MCU and maybe sepperate the elements (Streetlevel, Mystical, Space) a bit, lets them drift apart again after Endgame.

A. Bielke

Definitely not dead. Also, do we think that young boy at the party was Richard Fisk?

Courtney Lewis

Hector has the right idea about sharing this stuff with family over the holidays. In fact, I'm at home and catching my mom up on the all the Disney+ shows and movies she missed this year. We watched the first four episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier just last night. As for Fisk, no way in hell did they kill him off. I haven't been a regular comic reader in several years but I still know know the tropes and storytelling devices. If you don't see the bullet hit or the body, it's a misdirect. On top of that, just read the Echo or Kingpin wikipedia pages to catch up on the comics, it's all there.

Christopher S. Brown

No way in hell Fisk is dead.

PillsAndAdvice

I swear the musical number apart from being Steves catch phrase is actually just everyone who works on the marvel projects telling fans dont worry more is coming 😂 Also as for Fisk, he says some great words before the "Shooting" that is a huge hint to the echo comics - "sometimes family doesnt see eye to eye". That is 100% marvel telling us what they are doing with him while also freaking everyone out who hasnt read those echo comics

Tom Clough

Such a satisfying conclusion to the series! And yeah, Kingpin gotta be the main villain of the Echo series. They panned up for a reason! We'll see how that played out probably in the first scene in Echo.

Bran the Builder

The owl wasn't really a Marvel easter egg (I think) but a real life one: they found an owl in the tree for Christmas 2019 or 2020. As a theater fan, I also love the fact that the conductor for Rogers was Marc Shaiman, who cowrote and produced the song; the Lunt-Fontanne that the show is playing in was home to two Disney Theatricals shows, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Louise de Silva

i don't think fisk is dead

Ryan

If one say themselves as a fan of MCU and they watch this show, and they conclude that Kingpin died in this episode? Get the hell outta here. U're not a fan. Its so obvious they won't kill the Kingpin that early and that easy.

Monica Winny

i just want a Christmas special every year with the Bartons and various MCU characters just celebrating with them... Kate, Yelena, Peter... Wanda turning up sometime... :P every year a christmas special of all these characters just chilling and trading war stories and sharing memories...

Amith Somasekharan

They definitely are not killing Fisk with a single bullet, but I think more importantly they aren't killing Fisk off screen. The only reason to pan up on that shot is to create this discussion.
