WandaVision 1x9 Uncut Reaction!

Loki is the one I have my eye on. I think he may cause a bunch of trouble in the Multi-Verse that may show up in Doctor Strange 2.

Evan Jahner

Had to get in on this! Congrats guys.

Proud to be anew Patreon supporter,. I found your channel through my gluttonous cravings for recaps. You are genuine, and it's great to finally enjoy a narrative with at least a few strangers with all of the closed venues over this past year. Cheers from a father of two sets of twins who enjoys your uplifting videos with the first set after a fresh show watch.

Going from crossover event to solo book is EXACTLY the feeling I had. And I loved it!

I was able to shut off the online speculations several episodes ago to best enjoy the story being told. As ideas piled on, I was with Agustin’s line: the show has promised none of these, so I’m not going to hold it accountable to them. That said, your other comments about our shifting expectations are spot on. Phase 1 Easter eggs were dares. They were toes dipped, first the tip, then the whole foot, that warmed up the world to the idea of a connected cinematic universe. Flash forward to the last tentpole, Endgame, the crowning achievement of the Infinity Saga. Forget toes and feet; we were full-on swimming it, and it was glorious. Far From Home was the step-down unit. It dealt with the aftermath, it said the Stark legacy was still alive for good and ill. Then the pandemic hit and shoved the schedule forward. We’re still in that Endgame mindset. We’ve watched the portals sequence a thousand times. We live with an MCU where the last thing to happen was everyone we’ve met sharing frames together. So, the speculations were natural. We had to downshift from that to accept WandaVision at face value. It was like going from eating at separate restaurants to feasting at a 5-star, all-you-can-eat resort and then back to a small restaurant again. We’re gluttons for the interconnectivity, so when it’s not there we feel them rumblies. We get them pangs. And some people were straight up hangry. lol I thought it was a fine meal. A wonderful meal. It captured well the feeling of reading a huge crossover event and going back to the solo books. The big events echo for a long time.

Doctor Strange's theme song was playing when it cut to Wanda studying the Darkhold

The finale worked much better for me on a second viewing. I was able to stop theorizing in my head and just enjoy what turned out to be a very personal/emotional story of Wanda coping with loss in her life. I just wish they (Marvel Studios) hadn’t said beforehand that the series will tie in to Doctor Strange 2. It really seemed to build up unrealistic expectations for what this show was ultimately going to be about. Still a great journey for me and they did a solid job fleshing out both Wanda and Vision as characters. It is definitely one I will rewatch in the future. Cheers for the weekly videos, fellas.

I think Ralph could be the person in the witness protection program that Jimmy Woo was looking for. It's possible he chose his last name for witness protection and thats why he laughed at the name when Monica brought it up. There has to be a reason she was already in Ralph house at the beginning of the show. She could have sensed his power and thats why she was already in the neighbourhood before Wanda showed up. I mean she was in the very beginning of Wandas show rather then showing up in later episodes so there has to be a reason Agatha Harkness was in Westview to begin with before Wanda. She could have been going after Ralph before she switched to going after Wanda. Whose to say Ralphs necklace was his power instead of just a permanent mind control. Wanda was capable of mind controlling an entire town but we don't know if Agatha was. So she might have required a more controlled version of the mind control spell aka the necklace. He could still be quicksilver from another universe. I just don't think Marvel would bring in the Fox version of Quick silver without some sort of pay off. We might find out more about who Ralph really is in the multiverse of madness.

My thing about Evan Peters.. even if he was just cast to be a random guy, where do his powers come from? That's what's bugging me a little. The fact that Peters was cast AND he has powers just adds to the confusion of the casting. Even if Agnes was controlling him, did she also give him the powers? Can she give people powers? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Chris Huerta

Loved the series. I get what people are saying about some of the teases, but frankly I think those are longer payoffs and people are wanting too much too fast now. Just my take though. Enjoy the ride and don't get bogged down with the theories!

Another brilliant video guys. Adam nailed my feelings exactly towards the end with the discussion of Marvel's use of hints / eggs / mentions without the follow through. I had to watch the finale twice just to appreciate it - because I kept waiting for a big reveal. It's a beautiful series that will be talked about for a long time, but I do think Marvel is putting some of those bits in just to create viral buzz and not to serve the show - and maybe that's a necessity in today's world. The Evan Peters thing is almost too inside baseball - even for this long-time superhero / MCU fan.

PT Jarman

I think White Viz took off to the location of his last known memory.......Wakanda. Hopefully he will find Shuri there to patch up any loose ends.

Love the reaction as always guys. My thoughts on this series' finale, it's a great episode. Was it satisfactory tho? Not really. I have to agree with Adam, that people are speculating because they were given something by Marvel. By now, fans have adapted with Marvel Studio's way of plucking and putting certain chara from one movie to another. So obviously, if u put a hint on a scene just like the astrophysics guy that Monica knows, or the Xmen Quicksilver actor reference, people will speculate. Of course Marvel Studio never promises anything, but those 2 instances are just like an oil for a wild fire to spread. Also, not the best way to make chatter/conversation for a weekly based series that end up having no conclusion to said reference. I prefer the way they did White Vision for a twist or conversation starter. Marvel Studio has been very smart on hiring directors, producers, writers that can always pick up some loopholes or loose strings from prev movies and tied into their future movies, that it ends up paying well when u re-watched the older movies. These 2 reference above, to me feels like the opposite, a loose string purposefully made for the future. But it ends up becoming distracting from the core of the story which is Wanda & Vision. Another thing for me is Monica Rambeau's story. Despite her having a hero origin story through this series, i feel like her character isn't as needed or connected heavily like Agatha to Wanda's story. When at the end Wanda ends up talking to Monica about their shared grief, i feel like that connection isn't really there yet. The dialogue seems wonky. I love Monica Rambeau chara so much in this series, but it'll be better if they could connect it so that Wanda Story somehow needs Monica to be in it. Because for the way it is, i feel if we pluck Monica out of the story, Wanda's story will not change much. And her power origin can always be made other ways, since now we know this hex is not how 'mutants' or enhanced humans are made. But overall, i'm glad this is the debut show of MCU Series. It started right after Endgame. It gives Wanda & Vision the backstory they deserve. I thought i already have emotional investment on these two. This series makes my emotional investment even deeper. P.s There's something I wanna ask. There is an abrupt cut on Augustine's line. He said "I think..." and then just cut to Adam stating "This might be an unpopular opinion..." It's around 56:21. Is it meant to be like that or is the video missing?

Monica Winny

Thank you for your work guys.

I watched the finale the first time with my husband when our chidren were not even awake yet (530a) and we thought the finale was just "ok" but not the greatest. I really think the "Ralph" part and how they tied that up was IMO dumb but I really enjoy watching with you guys because it makes watching so much better the second time around. you all are so knowledgeable about all the characters and backstories and it is so wonderful to get all the information since The MCU is fairly new to me (not my husband) My favorite episode is still ep.8 and it truly broke my heart. Well done gentleman!!

Dianna Anderson

The show was great! We put Marvel bar so high, sometimes it’s not fair. How we judge the shows or anything... but this show killed it, I can’t wait for the shows and films, remember marvel has plans they know what try are doingd

Alberto Olmos

I am really glad this show turned out to be a story about Wanda's grief. I did not want there to be a big bad behind it all. The last episode wasn't the best but I loved this series so much. Overall it delivered so much for Wanda and Vision as characters. Such a beautiful show. The theories not being delivered on are just the fault of the fans. People need to chill out on reading into every detail. Watch the show and absorb the story not the easter eggs.

Myles Away

I wanted the engineer but realized we didn't need that or another cameo unless it was in the post credit scenes. All key characters were given since ep.5, maybe it's the mcu absence that made everyone go crazy but at some point we had to stop to save ourselves but who could blame us w/ the "distractions". This ep. had to be a self contain story for Wanda and Viz most importantly. Relieved it didn't end in a complete tragedy for Wanda but definite wtfuckery for Ralph lmao. First project in Phase 4 in the books! Can't wait to look back and see how they'll pay off what was hinted/theorized like they did with the infinity saga. Loved the episode and discussion homies, thanks!

Nate Estrada

I think White vision will have Visions body, powers, and memories, but lack the love and emotion

Mark Kostecki

Heroes, i agree with a lot of your reaction and analysis of the finale episode regarding the success of WandaVision as a story about Wanda's grief and cementing their relationship in Marvel MCU terms, and also some dissatisfaction with some of those hinted payoffs not fully paying off. Especially so about casting Evan Peters as Piet-faux. Could go on at length with you on that, but you've covered it already. This comment is to thank you -- Hector, Adam and Agustin -- for your excellent run of WV reaction videos, enthusiasm and insights. I'm not any expert of the Marvel comics history, so your edification on that front alone is worth the price of a Patreon sub. Plus it is a frakkin' treat just to see your surprised, sad and joyous reactions in real time. I am so glad I joined up (finally) just before WV began, though I was watching your YouTube edited reaction videos through MANDO that whole time. Glad to support HR and all the great content you provide. Now I can't wait to see where you go with FALCON AND BUCKY and beyond. Keep up the great work!

MisterrrScott

I think all of the red herrings were intentional to throw people off the trail of where the show actually was going. I enjoyed watching all of those fan theories and then being pleasantly surprised where it went.

David Lonewolf Wright

Marvel had to play it out the way they did because, the internet and the way we are as a fandom. We are 13 years deep into this. They have to be allowed to have the ability to surprise us still. Also could that have been Mt Wundagore in post credit scene.

Anthony Pifer

Alright, way to go Adam! I was refreshing this page for the past couple of hours. Thanks so much for your hard work! Can't wait to watch all of your reactions to the finale!
