Reading and Rambling About Fibres and Fabric

For this month's SFW audio, I wanted to do a little bit of a long form ramble/reading for you.
The ones in the past were all baking based, but I thought this time I'd do one pertaining to my more time consuming hobby, sewing.
I ramble a lot in the beginning in the end, but also read about 28 different fabrics.
If you need something to kind of just shut your brain off to, or if you need something to play in the background while you do various unspeakable and unsightly deeds, then I think you'll enjoy this one.

I’m laughing because of the jokes and purposeful mispronunciations, but also because of the relatability in terms of being a self-taught/amateur sewist and deciding to work with the most difficult, high maintenance fabrics because How Hard Could It Be?? (very. incredibly so.)

I work in the mental health field so after a pretty tough day this was so comforting to listen to. Also, the way you said thick made me bust out laughing. 🤣 The end was particularly sweet so thank you. 💜

2023-03-25 12:19:58 +0000 UTCThis was like listening to an episode of How It’s Made (love that show to bits) only the narrator went on tangents (love), made word associations (same ~ btw “Suede” by Anderson .Paak 👌🏾), and annunciated specific words with a ✨particular✨ charge to them (jeez 😂). I know the intention for this was to serve as background noise, but I legit paid attention and thought of various other subtopics to potentially hyperfixate on ~ so thank you for catering to the part of my brain that thoroughly enjoyed this 😂. It was like listening to an audio guide while walking through a fabric store or museum. Lastly, and apologies if this is getting annoying, but thank you for the ending. It was really beautiful and really sweet. We could definitely go into the psychology as to why folks like being talked to like wounded animals (and I’m sure I could locate myself somewhere in the explanation), but the little bit you gave was beautifully comforting. To deserving to feel happy, fulfilled, and safe ☕️
