A portion of the massive Garthgan Forest has been dying as vitality and magic ebb away. Believing it to be part of the forest’s natural cycle, people were content to stay away and ignore it until a hoard of varglith appeared in the area. Instead of dying off due to the lack of life energy, they began to thrive, leaving people to fear that an entire colony would form. To prevent these beings from becoming a bigger threat, the locals are looking for adventurers to take them out—permanently.
