sounds interesting! well that circuit is actually quite simple. i cant remember which card exactly it is on. but a quick look though what i have read and seen will remind me. but if thats the only issue it is good to go. but like mine, if its sat for so long. those tantalums are not going to be happy. im nearly done 4 more cards to recap. then ill try and figure how to actually make the most of it, i will be giving myself a crash course in analog computers, i have a grasp. but not enough to improvise. which i deem is a level to deem a vid. but i wanna get this totaliser done before digging into analog computer books, as can only trick myself into one obsessive learning process at oncer haha. cool to know though! my clock works. but for how long who knows@! ill look tomorrow when i see it, and reming myself of whats going on with the clock

I went to tnmoc today to find out about their TR-48. They don't have a lot of experts - the person who initially repaired it is no longer there, but I did speak to the person who is most familiar with it, Kevin. He told me there is some documentation but it's buried in the archives or maybe lost altogether, and he thinks the problem with it is that the clock (which initializes and controls integration) was faulty. He thought there was no documentation for that. It appears that their machine doesn't have the built-in oscilloscope. So it may be that Sam can help them more than they can help Sam :). I'm quite interested in this machine and may look into volunteering at tnmoc to get it going again.

possibly. i mean the fact the one at bletchley says its poorly and has done for a few years i have heard, would strike me there might not be any experts over there! but who knows. where are you finding this info ha? i cant find much.

Maybe there are some 'experts' at Bletchley's Museum of Computing who could suggest things. Apparently, you have one of the only 4 TR-48s in the world! Little known fact, after the TR-48, was the TR-60 an the TR-80, superseded by the 'small' version, known as the TRS-80 ;) Same schematic, only smaller. And um... digital. Yeah, there's that. Oh well!
