In the time of overstimulation

Ok, so I don't know how it is with you, but I get over stimulated sometimes. It's really easy to piss me off with very tiny things that usually aren't even on a problem spectrum. When it happens I"m really bad at handling anger, and the easiest way for me to relax is to cut myself off from the world. No sounds, no visuals or lowering those to the bare minimum.
It's not so easy to be an assertive speaker at that time and it takes a lot of effort to stay calm and speak calmly. The worst thing is when people try to reason with me at that state, or worse - find it funny "because I'm so cute when I'm angry". It may look cute outside, but it's really devastating on the inside. I'm slowly learning how to make it easy to understand by others that in this state I just want them to ignore me or for the sake of all of us, stay quiet.

That's rough, I have someone like that; he lets people know "shared silence is a gift" and then they feel more generous about giving it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I definitely know how shitty it feels to be in that state, let along constantly experiancing it! We should be given space and silence in that time, i really hope you'll be feeling better soon!

All the time. I'll often get angry to the point where I feel as though I'm a balloon on the edge of bursting but have that feeling for a long while. I usually need to be alone after that. I'm sorry you deal with it too!
