NarDec Update - September 2025

Patreon is fully adjusted now

For those who missed our past update posts, we have finished updating the Patreon and transferring people into the appropriate tiers. I’d like to thank you all for your feedback and help during the restructure process. If you notice any content that’s messed up, don’t know how things work, or anything weird, feel free to send us a message here on Patreon or contact me via the office chat in the Discord.

Oh, and if you don't se the new Patreon format and only see the old one with no header image. You just need to reset your browser cache I believe. It does it to me too.

We Have a Community Subreddit!

For those of you who enjoy Reddit, the community has come together to make a Narrative Declaration subreddit. We have no involvement with it, so feel free to post your thoughts, memes, fan art, etc on it!

Wrath & Glory is Returning This Year!

We left on the final adventure in the Litanies of the Lost series of adventures. We planned to return to this sometime in the future when we had a gap in scheduling in Rotgrind. But, with a special guest’s involvement, things have been accelerated.

For those who know Bricky from Adeptus Ridiculous, and also the owner of the merch company we work with, Orchid Eight. He will be joining the gang in the final adventure of the Wrath & Glory series.

We will be recording our character creation & test sessions in October, and in November/December we will be streaming the rest of the adventure with him.

All streams start streaming at 8 PM CDT. VODs will be here on Patreon, YouTube, and Twitch first before releasing bi-weekly for free on YouTube & Podcast.

Do be aware that things could change. The schedule could be adjusted, pushed back, or outright canceled due to business/opportunities getting in the way.

Regardless, we’re excited to have Bricky on board exploring the grim dark future of the 41st millennium in a TTRPG perspective, if temporarily.

We’re revving up Starfinder 2E

The team is ecstatic to play Starfinder 2E. To play something science fiction has been a big desire for us here at NarDec. But, Wrath & Glory did take up some of the scheduling opportunities to play it fully this year since we will be bringing the Rotgrind crew with us. Remember, the team only has so much time as not everyone works on this as a full-time gig, and other groups have only time for one campaign (ie the Eclectic group can only commit to Kingmaker).

We do have a one-shot test session planned however that we’ll record and put up here exclusively on Patreon. And if something happens that has us delay Rotgrind a bit COUGHMAYBEGETSPONSOREDCOUGH then we might move some shows around to explore the stars with all of you 🙂

Also, since I’m sure we’ll be asked, we cannot re-create the party we had in the original Starfinder 1E One-Shot due to the ancestries and content not being there yet. Even though we -could- finagle some stuff together, we want to use the core stuff as much as we can.

Now, this is just the Rotgrind crew’s involvement with Starfinder. We will be looking into getting other players to explore Starfinder a lot sooner than next year. Once things get figured out, we will let you know ;)

Season of Ghosts Campaign Update

This will be relatively short, but I wanted to let everyone know where we’re at with this campaign.

We now have players in mind for this campaign and will be doing some test one-shots with them when their schedules permit it. You may see me doing some one-shot streams with them in the future to test their comradery with each other and to see if you yourself enjoy them!

Whenever we gather a group for a campaign, I like to make sure that:  

1. Everyone is compatible and comfortable with each other.  

2. There’s good camaraderie among the players.  

3. Everyone enjoys both the game and me as their Game Master.  

Because of this, the process can take some time to coordinate around everyone’s schedules.

The timeline for this campaign will be early in 2026 due to our already filling up schedule for the rest of this year.

YouTube Did Some Odd Changes.

For those unaware, YouTube has changed some background things resulting in poor viewership for a lot of YouTube channels recently. A lot of popular YouTube channels have talked about it, and this video helps summarize the issues going on. We especially got hit hard with this, causing us to re-think our approach to YouTube.

Due to these changes, we've seen our stats plummet. Some of it can be blamed on us taking a break last month due to vacations and GenCon and seasonal stuff such as school. But, our demographic doesn't get affected by those common to point to seasonal changes. This so far has been -the worst- dip we've seen. Even previous breaks we've taken around this time barely shifted in terms of stats. By all accounts, this is strange.

Overall we’ll keep going as we are, but we’d like to reiterate how much it does help when you share our videos around. (Not the paywalled stuff, please)

One thing we notice is that folks don’t really share our content around that often, and by doing so could really help out the YouTube channel. Like the animations we make? Feel free to share em on Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, etc. Make memes of us and have fun with it!
