Rotgrind: Journey Through Tyne Campaign Information & Details

We here at Narrative Declaration are excited to re-introduce you to Rotgrind. Now, on its fourth and final season!

As stated multiple times before, this isn’t the end of Rotgrind. We’re continuing to plan more exciting ventures into our world and strive to continue developing for it. But why is this the final season?

Quite frankly, we don't want the story to linger too long. We're not interested in "farming" a series. We want people to like us for us, not the game we're playing. This gives us the freedom to try other things and keep things fresh instead of being locked into episode 500 of the same thing.

That, and after so many years, players want to play or do something different. For Rotgrind, we’ve been with it for so long that our current cast would like a change of pace, but not before we complete this story.

During this final season, our plans are to showcase the rest of Tyne. We obviously won’t be able to go into intricate depth in all things, but we wanted to show off areas that aren’t just the city of Outset. As to what those places will be, you'll have to tune in to find out.

The Players

The original cast is returning, with some adjustments to their characters. I asked the players if they wanted to make changes to their characters due to the PF2E Remaster. We had some updates, and some completely new changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will Rotgrind be streaming?

The first episode will stream on Twitch & YouTube on March 12th at 8 PM CST. And then we will continue to stream weekly (barring any breaks/delays) every Wednesday at 8 PM CST.

Why so late in the day? My timezone isn't compatible with that time!

We decided to switch our streaming dates and times to be more compatible with our lives. We feel for those in other timezones, but after 3+ years, we want our weekends back. That and several of our players have 9-5 jobs, so we can’t expect them to drop that.

Will the show be released bi-weekly on YouTube & Podcast like other shows before it?

Yes, the show will be released on YouTube and Podcast on a bi-weekly schedule for free. For Patreon members on the Traveler Tier or higher will get the recorded livestreams along with an audio version as soon as they are completed and we can process them.

Is this show a Patreon exclusive?

No. But those part of the Patreon, YouTube Membership, or Twitch Subscribers will get the stream VODs earlier than the public. Be aware that Twitch subs will only get the past 60 days worth of VODs.

Will there be chat integration like in Rotgrind? Will we be able to submit complications?

We have integrated our new Pity Point system, which you can read more about here. As for complications, we have re-enabled them for this campaign. If you're part of the right tier, you can submit your own here. You will also learn how we've changed things.

How long will the campaign last?

We suspect the campaign will last for a while. We’ve estimated that if our schedule goes perfectly, it’ll take a year and a half or more to complete. Give or take, depending on how things go.
