So this video isnt coming this week! tracker video is coming which has been on my to do list for a while! as i managed to get my hands on the NERDSEQ. more info on that tomorrow!!

But for now!

This live looper is what i've used for a few years now. its based upon this code but made more useful (in my eyes) with up to 128 steps. and delete command.... and removed menu diving with other modes deleted.

its super simple! in use.

So the setup ive used in a fair few of my videos with this sequencer is. i have 4 of them in total. 1 is midi channel 1, 1 is midi channel 2 and so on (you can change the channel in the code).

i have it setup so a drum machine sends out midi start and midi clock. which then goes into the midi keyboard and out again. with the added midi keyboard notes!! when you press play on the drum machine (or whatever you have carrying the midi clock) these midi sequencers will begin!

you can twist the sequence length knob whenever and the length will change.

Super simple in principle!!!

The code is an ABSOLUTE MESSSSSS. i just add and took bits out till it worked! and i haven't touched it since then! (its been 2 or so years).

but if you want to add more or clean it up be my guest! just let us know so i can share it :) and also use it haha!!!! it would be good to add midi clock and start stop commands to the code!

IF YOU DONT WANT TO SOLDER THIS!!! IT WILL WORK WITH THE SPARKFUN MIDI SHIELD!!!
