[Major News!]: Rotgrind PDF Primer & Major changes notice.

We have some exciting news! We’re going to showcase the starting lore primer for The World of Tyne! Specifically, this is an update for our upcoming Rotgrind campaign. You can find the PDF attached to this post at the bottom for you to read.

I encourage you to read this post so you won’t be confused when the major changes come into effect to the Patreon and Discord channels.

We hope this gives enough of an impression on what our world is about, along with the aspects that make our world unique. Tyne is inspired by games such as Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Castlevania, and others. We want to make this world for you, the viewers. We want you to be able to support this project that helps keep our shows running, and provide content for your campaigns. This primer is the first document of many that we intend to share and let you use to create your own stories in the world we’re building.

The major changes to our content and to the Patreon.

To preface everything that I will say in this document, I (ZoranTheBear) spoke to the crew, Alfabusa, several content creators, other TTRPG streamers, and personal friends about some decisions that are being made to the Patreon and the structure of content that’ll be happening in the future. The changes are intended to make it easy to communicate to you and future audiences on where to find your favorite casts in our future TTRPG campaigns. So what’s happening?

We’re changing the overall name. Or rather name(s).

We are no longer called WarHams. The name will refer to the Warhammer TTRPG campaigns we did. We debated for a long time on keeping the name that represents the TTRPG content. We ultimately found that keeping the name and holding it up as the primary form of communication would eventually bite us in the butt. We know that so many people loved the name and refer to it for the Warhammer content we did, so we thought it’s best to keep the name only in reference to the Warhammer campaigns. For all future adventures, we will not be referring to ourselves as WarHams. Basically nothing has else changed for us internally, just a different office and different shirts to wear.

Wait, am I not getting Warhams anymore?

What is the Patreon named now?

The Patreon will now go under ZoranTheBear and be patreon.com/ZoranTheBear. This is to make it easier to communicate to future viewers and other entities where to find my content. WarHams has been my baby for the past several years, and for me to present other TTRPG campaigns with different cast members, I needed a better way to present that content. For me to continue beyond our past Warhammer content, we all agreed this would be the better move in the long term.

So is the crew gone? Other groups? What?

The old Warhams group you know and love is sticking around and is going to be our cast for Rotgrind, but Zoran is reaching out to bring in new cast members for different shows, and expanding the amount of content you're going to be seeing on the channel (and this Patreon). Here's the current plan:

Rotgrind: GMed by Thurston, played by Speaker D, Earndil, Hulky, Odoroshi, & myself. We will adventure in the corrupted city of Outset. Solve problems, slay beasts, “acquire” allies. Many of the same shenanigans that you are all used to. This is going to be the show that will introduce the World of Tyne and really showcase what our new setting has going for it. Not to mention, you’ll get all the wacky hijinks of the players you’ve come to know and love through our past Warhams shows.

D20+ One Shot: GMed by ZoranTheBear, and played by a variety of people! The concept for this show is to invite various guests to come play games with us.These adventures will last for one stream, or maybe 3-5 episodes as a short adventure. Most of these will be streamed, while some recorded offline and provided to you here on Patreon as exclusive content. The first episode of this example will be posted soon to this Patreon. In the future (Nov 23rd at 7 PM CST is the current planned time) I plan to run several Vtubers through a fun adventure on stream. The players are Takahata101, Cimrai, Trickywii, & Mimcubus, and they’re very excited to meet you all.

If you all like a certain group from the D20+ One Shot, and if that group wants to continue playing, we have the potential to start a longer series with that group. Each show will get its own name for you to easily identify which group/adventure is which.

The intention is to easily point people to go to “ZoranTheBear” to find Campaign X, Y, and Z. Instead of looking up WarHams and then D20 and then Journeys of Blah blah in their own separate exclusive areas. This is to make it easier on everyone to find all the content I produce.

When will this change come into effect?

Near the end of November or early December, along with the new Patreon Tiers and benefits. One of the more notable changes will be adjustments to the Discords.

What’s changing with the Discords?

The WarHams Discord will be discontinued. I will be shutting it down at the end of the month and directing everyone to the ZoranTheBear Discord. The purpose of the WarHams Discord was to create a Warhammer hub for the future content we intended with Warhams, which was planned to become a Youtube channel filled with Warhammer themed content. But we all know why that isn’t happening anymore, so the purpose of the Discord died. We will let everyone know ahead of time if they want to save anything in it.

I personally am tired of shifting people around Discords. But due to the GW situation messing us up, and the original intention of the Discord being dashed away, I hope everyone understands the decision.

If anyone has any questions or concerns PLEASE let me know. We’re doing our best with what we can, and if you spotted something that should have been addressed please bring it up so I can answer your questions. We want to keep everyone informed.

The world that we’re creating is filled with divine monstrosities, unnatural horrors and the rotting remains of long-buried threats. The players themselves laugh in the face of danger and horror: not out of fear, but once the horrors become the norm, everything seems to fit just right. It’s a grimdark setting for our particular brand of grimdank humor.
