I like to hear your opinion, I feel it helps me get ideas, tell me realistically, if a friend of yours shows up some time later and she is considerably bigger, what would you think or do?

Honestly, it'd freak me out at first. Not out of fear or anything, but I'd first question what the hell did they eat (as a joke and general question) before wondering how they got so tall. It's hard for me to be surprised like this, but it would open up the idea of wondering if I could get this taller too. Also, these images are fantastic!!!

Since she came here to see me, I want to express an interest in her, while not disturbing whatever friendly level of relation we have.

Probably ask what's going on, hoping that they'll explain why they're large and why they came to see me specifically. At some point where it felt natural, I'd say I'm impressed that they're bigger suddenly, and compliment my favorite feature about them - like their cute face, nice hair, or beauty. Now that they're bigger, those features are even more prominent.

I would also proceed with caution as I would want to touch it and feel it but would not necessarily want to be a part of it. Still would also try to make sure I have a subtle way to back out of the place or excuse myself to escape. Lol.
