TAKING A BREAK

Patreon isn't the problem. The real problem is that I slowly started to hate making 3D over the years. Every second of it, every software, every character, it's slow and tedious.

Working, re-working, re-re-working, pushing vertices in and out for hours until I get the shape I want, and then looking at it the next day and it looks like shit. I feel like Randy in that South Park episode where everything looks, sounds and tastes like shit.

I'm sick of it. Some of my older characters look better than what I do now. I don't evolve, I can't reach the level I want. It's for that same reason I stopped drawing years ago.

It's frustrating, stressing, and I can't even sleep anymore as my mind gets obsessed with every project, every decision, constantly wondering if I'm doing the right thing or if there is a way to do better.

So I'll just stop. For 6 months, maybe a year, I don't know.

I put this on hold for now. Without paid posts you won't be charged so don't worry.

Burnout is rough. Take a few steps back, check out a new medium, and don't do anything that stresses you out. Don't think about "recovery" and "being productive", think about "fun". If that fun is writing, or 2D art, or reading, or literally anything else, that's fine. I feel the exact same way about my art the next day. Sometimes I "fix" it, sometimes I call it a day and move on. Just recently I remade a face 3 times in 3 painstaking days. The projects I feel I need to complete stall out, and I start something new. I don't know how to tell you to care less enough to not stress out, but do know that I'll be here when you have something else to show us. Maybe avoid hard deadlines for stuff? We'd rather see a few break months with no charge post than a burnt out Texelion.

It might be burnout, have a break and come back when you're ready.

While I cannot relate to 3d Modeling, I can relate/understand the feeling of burnout. Nothing is worse than seeing a creator drive their mental health into the dirt over something they once would call a passion. The best thing for you to do is take a break, remove yourself from any obligation to it and decompress. The community you have will support you through thick and thin, and we appreciate and love the work you've given us.

While I have bounced between quite a few other creators, your patreon has remained the only one I never considered quitting. If you need to stop, no one should convince you otherwise. But if you enjoy it on some Ievel, maybe take time to seek out resources to help you realize your art the way you intended it to be? Either way, I really hope you find your way back. Bon chance.

Ah shit. I love your work so much, but I hope you can take and find the time to get right with things. I also hope you'll come back soon, but if not, I've been happy to be a subscriber since the start, and I'll be at the front of the line if and when you come back :)

That is really sad to hear (only subscribed last week) but health is the most important. Take all the time you need and i wish you the very best.

Hate to hear this as I feel like I'm finally close to getting the Witch Velma from you I've wanted in forever! Lol! But I do understand it, it's looked like you've been spreading yourself quite thin the last year or so with so many variants and so many models. Not by how they look, they all look fantastic as always, but it's just been so much to try and take on month after month. Maybe take a bit of a break and then come back doing only one model a month, in 1 pose, with just the breast size variants? While having 30 different poses is nice, it's kinda overwhelming for us too. What draws me to your models is that they are what I call "simply detailed". Everything is there that needs to be there, but in a simple and clean format. Some creators feel the need to put hundreds of angles and details into their models, and that's great, but I really love how you keep yours simple and attractive at the same time. It's why I've been a fan and have collected damn near everything you've made over the years that I could. TL/DR take a bit of a break then come back and keep things simple. We will love them no matter what!

Metalneck

Understandable. I will miss your incredible works for the time being!

Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a break. Your models are fantastic, I don't even have a printer right now, I was just subbed cause I didn't wanna miss them, but it sounds like you're beating yourself up. Whatever you do take time and energy for yourself dude. Thank you for all your hard work and incredible models.

Take a respite Tex. I'm not as adept in modeling, so I don't know those struggles, myself. Don't be so harsh on yourself, you make quality models, no doubt there. An artist's toughest critic is themselves. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Gabriel Perro

As a creator myself. I completely understand. We hope you get the R&R you need. I hope we get to see some more work from you when you're good and ready. Thank you for everything so far. ❤️

We're here for you

Sorry to hear that Texelion. I, like the others here, absolutely love your art but if it's causing you stress, don't risk your mental health and take time off. I hope you come back to it after a break but either way it's been nice. Thanks for all the awesome art so far.
