I guess you're right. I thought it was because of people posing as nintento being offended with their Waifu being displayed. I didn't had any problem with Wicke from Pokemon, is it because I'm just not as popular yet?

But I am sceptical about this nude one being uploaded to Twitter or Tumblr since Nintendo seem to be very strict about porn of their characters being made. I've heard of at least a couple of accounts being shut down as a result of this. The other two should be fine, though.
