2025-07-15 23:40:11 +0000 UTCThese are my thoughts; I think the Luigi Mangione Case really shifted things for a lot of non-leftists. He forced the public to recognize that what is considered a “ necessary evil” is not something that should be tolerated. People were overjoyed when CEO’s were hiding their pfp and many people celebrated and the public overwhelmingly supported him. The Palestinian Genocide has been another one, I think this one is bit harder to move people because this country goes hand in hand with supporting Zionist Colonial project / regime. With how hard they try to conflate anti-Zionism and anti-semitism and the way people are taught about Israel, they have a hard recognizing the Settler State for what it is because that also require many things that non-black are not ready to understand about how violent apartheid is. I’ve found it hard to get liberals and centrists to take a look into how whats happening in Israel is parallel with everything here. Not disagreeing on anything btw, I just wanted to share what I was thinking.
