WORLD OPTIMIZATION

Hey, everybody!

I tried to find the best solution in optimizing the starting location.

In the game there will be many worlds in which you can hunt, trade or live. But at the initial stage your home will be an island on Pandora. I want the island does not look deserted, but at the same time did not eat up all the resources of your computer. It's not an easy task, but I think I've achieved an optimal solution to this problem.

At this point I hope I have managed to get the project to run well on most video cards without major problems.

The area of the island is optimal for a settlement of local aborigines, live and breed the fauna of the island and that you can build your own village. In the future, you can build your settlements in other worlds if you don't like this one, the starting one.

But the one thing I am certain of is the need to create rideable animals.  To make traveling through the worlds more comfortable and faster :)

If you make the location as comfortable as possible, you will have to spend a lot of time to walk it. Small locations are not interesting for traveling. I think the ideal solution would be to train wild animals or train slaves to make them means of transportation.

For example, wild animals can be trained and used for farming, crafting, transportation, and more... ;)
In any case, it must be done.

At this point, I'm comfortable with optimizing the world and will now move on to creating clothing and character textures.
I'll talk about that later, in another post.

PANDORIUM

The online version hasn't been developed for a long time and is only technically supported. At the moment the development is temporarily suspended due to the war. My colleagues did not have time to leave the country and now cannot continue working on the project. Therefore, I continued the development of my own parallel project. I have already written about it earlier.

Is Pandorium still being developed? Because it doesn't look like it. The dev wrote in a post, that all his free time goes into this Hunter side project, but it seems like it is the main project for quite some time and Pandorium is completely stagnating (since several years btw). I came back after several years to this game and I can only tell you, I'm completely disappointed with the progress of Pandorium since then, because only minor improvements have been added to the game. Why should one still support, if Pandorium ist treated so step-motherly?

Now I get it. Creating human-animal hybrids through breeding is no easy task. There are several nuances. But, I don't see a global problem with it. It's an idea we'll discuss in the future. But as for the diversity of species of living beings, I plan to make a large selection of different races. That's why I've created a system of parallel worlds and a Stargate-like structure to accommodate the diversity of creatures without putting a heavy load on performance. Each new world will have unique creatures, which in my opinion will bring great variety. As for hybrid production, that still needs to be tested in tests. It is theoretically possible and I don't see any big obstacles. But I will need to do some tests before I can answer in the affirmative. But we will definitely discuss this when farming is in the game. At the very least, there's nothing stopping me from creating a world with female cats, vixens, and other mutations. Or are you interested only in the selection of these species?
