Monthly Monster: Road Toad
Added 2022-04-29 13:00:09 +0000 UTCA thick-skinned amphibian that is known for being nearly immune to crushing force, a Road Toad can withstand the weight of a loaded truck on its back and barely feel a thing.
The name refers to the "toad trails" they create when they nest in the daytime, by exposing only their armored backside to the harsh sun, road toads can expend minimal energy until sundown. Travelers are warned not to use toad trails as landmarks or waypoints, however, because they're known to shift and rearrange before morning comes.
