2025!

Happy New Year everyone! 

Hope everyone has had/is about to have some great celebrations! I wanted to take a minute here to thank everyone and talk about outline content plans for 2025.

Firstly, I really appreciate everyone who has signed back on to support the page since I got started back up last month. I've been really happy to meet some new people and get some ideas of where everyone's appetite for new stuff is!

Speaking of that, the feedback has already helped me firm up the content schedules Im hashing out! - Really the problem is I have too many ideas and it's now a challenge to prioritize stuff. Sounds like people really want some more node deep dives, and in particular some primers on animating textures in Designer so those are the first things I'm cobbling together for January.

I do have some fun ideas I think are worth pursuing:

I would love to have patron submitted materials for me to make. Maybe even enter them into a raffle and do those regularly! This would be a fun occasion for people to troll me, throw nonsense my way and we'll all learn a ton. 

I want to do some fanart stuff: think things like “Building Materials from “X” game”. I'm thinking of Soulsborne stuff first. 

I of course want to continue my node deep dives and I do think I will be hacking away at some more comprehensive, holistic designer tutorials covering process and general skill building so that people can make whatever they want.

I think too often tutorials are pretty narrow and that everyone benefits from a more general approach that teaches the toolset through example. 

I have plenty more ideas and I will be frequently polling members to help guide the schedule and get us where we all want to be. 

I really want to emphasize how stoked I am for the support! It means the world to be able to pour effort into these and have it rewarded. It's been a very fun experience and add-on to my usual teaching.
