Poll for End of Book 2
Added 2019-04-25 23:16:11 +0000 UTCHello. Took me a while, but now that I finally know what I wanna ask you guys, I feel it would be a good time to wrap up book 2.
Since everyone here has either read all the way to the end, or at least close enough to it, I think you guys and gals should be capable of answering this one. So here's the question:
Which parts of the story do you want me to focus on in future books?
honestly, my story has been getting.. pretty big. It's a really complex vehicle, with a lot of moving parts. In the last book, the biggest problem I had was to cut content. Like, I cut at least 5 chapters' worth of kingdom building stuff (like how they're making cement or where they get the raw materials from). So I wanted to see what you guys are interested in, so I can adjust future books accordingly. Choose wisely.

Seems like this is pretty much the consensus, which is fine by me, since those were pretty much my own plans already. Thank you for the feedback!
2019-04-27 09:39:46 +0000 UTCActually, I have enjoyed the balance of kingdom building, politics, and action that the story has had, thus far. I voted for Kingdom Building because it seems like the right time to focus on Corco's development efforts, but I would not mind politics or battles taking central stage for significant stretches of the upcoming books.

That was pretty much why I set it up that way, though the kingdom building will always play into the bigger story, like how I focused on the agriculture in the previous book, and the strong harvest ended up being a major plot point. For the next book, there might be somewhat more kingdom building in comparison (if the poll stays that way). Oh, also: Next book is the first one to have actual army battles planned, so look forward to that. :D

2019-04-26 01:35:00 +0000 UTCi'm enjoying the pacing you have, and i think if you can find the balance between the kingdom building, and politics it would be great. The kingdom building is a nice break from the tension of politics., but at the same time having that those political undercurrents really drives the story for me.
