spring becomes her [full poem]

merging mother magnolia
she becomes spring
magnolia mother merges
breath offerings (barely audible)
pink petal pirouettes
fertile devotion!
“i’m trying to let go,”
she said, eyelashes wet
with glistening moon water.
“i’m trying to lose myself,
and become nothing again.”
she whimpered, nuzzling her
forehead into spring’s limitless
heart space
“you have to be something,
before you can become nothing,”
spring replied softly, maternally.
“patience. all comes in its time;
drink This nectar and be full.
do not seek premature heart break
do not try so hard, honey,
to be That which you already are…”
