New Show Selection and follow-up poll (for 2nd show)

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners won and will be the next show (starting tomorrow).
BUT, since it's only a short 10 episodes, it seems appropriate to use the results of the poll to choose the show to follow as well.
After Cyberpunk, there were 3 other shows that broke 100 that were all within a few votes of each other (101, 102, and 105 votes).
I was going to choose myself but honestly, they all are shows I feel I must watch, so I figured I might as well tempt fate with another poll.
The three options are
- Assassination Classroom
- Re: Zero
- Steins Gate
Vote below for which you would prefer to watch AFTER Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
As usual, multiple-option voting is enabled.
This time around, the show with the most votes will win, regardless of how close the results are.
As mentioned above, at this point all 3 shows are a must-watch, it's just a matter of when.

2023-10-01 21:49:54 +0000 UTCAnother show that you should watch eventually is Food Wars! It's cooking anime, and I was shocked at how amaing the writing is. Plot wise, character wise, action wise. It's so much better than you would think. I don't really remember your stance on nudity for your channel, as there is some of that (yay anime). It's kind fo weird. They use nudity in a non-sexual way, whcih would actual work for the show really well....and then they go and sexualize it a bit. My only gripe with the show. Anyways, check it out!

2023-09-27 06:26:47 +0000 UTCMan, I really thought Made and Abyss woud make the cut. Even so, I am really looking forward to either Steins:Gate or Re:Zero. I must say, if you do watch Steins:Gate I would have to agree with everone that's suggesting you go with the dub. The sub is still good despite being awkward in places but the dub is one of the best. Personally, I think the dub allows for the comedic timing of the show to just work that much better for an English speaking viewer.

2023-09-27 02:02:31 +0000 UTCLike many here, I can only recommend you watch the dub of Steins Gate, as it is not only very high quality, but the sub also happens to have some extremely grating, caricatural voices that are replaced with actual fun voices with excellent acting in the dub.

2023-09-26 23:09:07 +0000 UTCI think the dub is definitely not bad, but there are more than a few moments where the execution of a scene is superior in Japanese. I think it'll be good regardless, and I personally won't mind either choice, but the sub has a slight edge in my opinion.

It's a series that relies heavily on your investment in the characters and I just think the dynamics, banter and just general likability comes off better in the dub.

2023-09-26 18:28:01 +0000 UTCRe:Zero has not yet concluded, so it's a no for me. Assassination Classroom, I haven't seen before. However it is an action-comedy shounen. Usually these are really simplistic. Dragon Ball, SpyxFamily, Gintama, Yi-Gi-Oh.. There's not really much discussion you can make around it. Rejected. Steins;Gate is ranked high for a reason. I've watched it many times, but it's such a rich and deep story that I'd watch it in this channel's analyzing style in a heartbeat. tl;dr: I encourage people to vote Steins;Gate because it is the better story (concluded and higher quality).

Thankfully imo, all 4 shows are fantastic in both versions (Re:Zero probably having the biggest gap between sub and dub quality, but the dub isnt terrible and is still enjoyable). So no matter what I’ll be fairly content, just wondering about how you’ll go about choosing for each series

Also I know that you like to know about dubs and I do the believe the general opinion is that Steins Gate’s and Assassination Classroom’s dub are pretty good. I’ve watched both versions and while I prefer the sub of both you would still have a good time with the dub version. But of course your choice and the general collective choice in the end. Can’t speak for ReZero because I haven’t seen it yet. Also Cyberpunk I do believe should be watched dub too!

Can't exactly vouch for the adaptation but the trailer looks very promising and I personally think the story is very much something the Goodwin community would enjoy and appreciate. Just popped in for this very random recommemdation I guess!! Also excited for Cyberpunk and any other show out of the three to come!! Only watched Stein's gate and Cyberpunk, so this poll is inspiring me to finally catch up with Re Zero and Assassination Classroom, which I've wanted to do for very long now!!
