You’ve mentioned you were surprised by how haikyuu fans had different takes on certain scenes. I think haikyuu’s appeal is slightly different from other anime and attracts a slightly different crowd in my experience. I’ve never met a haikyuu fan who I’ve not become great friends with. This isn’t always the case with other shows.

Is it better to be a master of one or two things, or well-rounded? Or are both valid? As someone who has a really wide variety of interests and skills, I often feel like I’d be better off refining a few skills rather than widening the net (but not being truly ever being masterful at something as a result.)

Like Hinata has said, he doesn't focus on the win, he focuses on "staying on the court", just getting to be there, to keep playing.

In contrast to Hunter x Hunter (or Naruto, etc.) where there's basically one set of background music tracks from the beginning to the end of the whole series, Haikyuu's soundtrack continues to evolve each season. When I made the decision to workout (either cardio or weight training) everyday, I find myself most motivated by the first team karasuno faced in the road to nationals when they were about to lose but never gave up and said "AND THAT'S WHY YOU NEVER GET ANY STRONGER!" and just fully committed to the ball even though the urge to quit was almost intrinsic. That scene alone pushes me harder than any other media I've consumed. I'm curious to know your take =)

No season 5 has been announced as of yet. Just so you understand how much cramming (or skipping) that would be if no season 5 happens: everything up until now is about 33 volumes worth of content, there are 12 volumes worth left to animate. My question: any thoughts on this crazy way of releasing? will you be reading the manga if some never gets animated? what will the future of Haikyuu look like on this channel specifically assuming this atrocious release order comes to fruition?
