Added 2023-07-05 16:01:00 +0000 UTCIn Haikyuu 4x4, Take It Easy, Hinata first steals the game, then a spot in camp, then finally the coach's position from a certain disgruntled Shiritorizawa figurehead.

Such a good lesson to learn in volleyball and Hinata did a great job explaining it and giving it as advice to a friend: TAKE IT EASY. Games can get so intense that you get in your head and make more mistakes that could've been prevented. Being able to control a single moment within that hustle and bustle truly allows you and your teammates to take a breath, get your mind straight, get into position, and make the right play. Getting the ball high up is nothing better! I love that Hinata is really understanding how to be a great back row player/passer. It's gonna be so awesome if and when he's able to actually incorporate what he learned into the Spring Tournament and future games!

2023-07-05 19:05:48 +0000 UTCNot sure if you got this, but part of the reason why Coach Washijo isnβt as active is because he put his assistant coach in charge of heading the camp. He deliberately decided to not put himself in that position and let the assistant coach be the voice of authority.

2023-07-05 19:04:28 +0000 UTCOh, a "dink" is also sometimes subtitled as a "feint" in Haikyuu. In volleyball, it's usually called a "tip." Goodwin has also called it a "scoop." ;) They're all the same: a light hit that's meant to drop into an open space on the court, usually up front.

2023-07-05 18:01:43 +0000 UTCWhat I fear might be the opposite-side NBA analogy is the 2023 #1 draft pick, Victor Wembanyama. (In this picture, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, is 6'3'' for context: https://www.pilotonline.com/2023/06/22/emotional-wembanyama-excited-for-future-with-spurs-as-overall-no-1-pick/) So, truly, "HoW tALl iS hE!?" He's been extremely hyped for his potential, but being in French leagues, he hasn't faced the kind of competition that he's about to. Hopefully he succeeds, but yeah, it's a concern.

2023-07-05 17:48:45 +0000 UTCOur boy Hinata showing us once more why he's the π I'm naturally a cynic and pessimist and I hate that about myself and quite honestly, overly optimistic and idealistic characters irk me(to no fault of their own), but there's just something about Hinata, it's not even optimism but just raw belief in oneself and the courage and power to just dive head first into whatever he does regardless of the outcome, that's so inspiring. Don't know how to explain it, but he really is the embodiment of the phrase "a ball of sunshine"

2023-07-05 16:36:16 +0000 UTCMan, Hinata just recognizing traits about players that he can use to build others and himself up is so cool. Watching the libero to learn about receiving, and then watching Kinumi to learn about a high first touch to give your team time to relax is so cool.
