Feels like this unwritten rule of "do what you want but don't be disruptive" when it comes to alcohol that is fun and initially kind of thrilling

Some places don't allow food or drink inside the stands, and others do. If they do, there's usually no restriction against alcohol, and many of the mothers who used to go to my school's games definitely indulged. In either case, you'd have to bring it yourself. There are very few public gyms that have full concession stands.
