When asked about why the Violence Fiend was the only one of the new crew focused on in the ED and if that meant a connection between him and Arai, Fujimoto responded “THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON” lol

A general rule of thumb is that if sexuality isn't stated then straight isn't the default and it can be whatever, or if you're gonna criticize one ship criticize all the ones that aren't explicitly stated in the show.

Considering the fact that it literally only swallowed around half of the Ghost devil and not even its head originally, yet can somehow completely reform and revive it before spitting it out to be used without need for a contract? Makima terrifies me by how calm she is and seemingly knows more than she ever lets on. I am highly intrigued by the devils & fiends though. Being born from what people fear & how abstract that can get. The violence fiend, the curse devil, future devil, angel devil, etc. Like is there a public speaking devil? And I am legitimately surprised the spider devil isn't bigger and more powerful......so far. I know so many people with arachnophobia, myself included.

2022-12-24 17:38:25 +0000 UTCSo happy to see the Angel Devil, Shark Fiend and the Violence Fiend introduced! They’re great characters with dope character designs. There’s a common fan theory that the Violence friend took over Arai’s body (Arai was Kobeni’s old partner who got died shielding her). This is because we know fiends take over dead bodies and Arai was just killed right before Violence was introduced. There’s also some personify similarities I can’t get into yet. Anyway this theory is backed up by the opening and the ending for this episode. In the opening, the Violence Fiend is the only character not in the movie theater, presumably because Arai is already shown there. The ending of this episode featuring every agent from the eternity devil arc but instead of Arai being shown, the Violence Fiend is there. None of the other newly introduced Fiends and Devils were featured despite them being important characters to this episode and the over all story.
