What's with the "schedule hate" ha, so its pronounced differently, so what? :P Sure not all of us brits pronounce it that way but plenty do. Its not unusual to have things pronounced differently from other countries and a lot of these accents in this series, seem british, come on now XD politically they likely don't want to let the undercity go because it could make them look weak to other nations I think?

VERY sorry for the extra-long quote comp this time. These 40+ minute uploads plus top tier Goodwin commentary= a lot of quotes "At least you got Jayce's beefy body to cover you when you wake up from nightmares," "That SUCKS. PAIN," "Speaking of having seen some stuff: this bridge," "Snooty elitism intensifies, unfortunately. Riff-raff, ~riff-raff!~/~I don't buy that!~" "How DARE you speak ill of our government!/stirs tea snobbily," "Did she just say SHHHEDULE??" (I'm sorry, I love Goodwin clowning the Kirammen parents) "Just a fatherly kiss, nothing sensual about that at all," "Ugh, Sevika. We hate Sevika," (Part 4!!) "There's something admirable about the extent to his sneakiness," "dundundundundundundundundundun WAR dundundundundundundundundundun WAR dadadadadadadadadadade," "Yeah, we got Jayce. Jayce has got a lot more beef than this guy," (oh my GOSH the implications went whooosh, didn't they?) "You're only what you do next, you know what I mean?" Heimerdinger: It's just Heimerdinger now. Goodwin: UNCLE Heimerdinger to you "As long as you're alive, there's hope. As long as you're alive, there are arcs to be had, and great things to be done," "Expertise on WAR!" "-and your daughter to.....do stuff with," "Ayyyy, stepmom ass -and sideboob," (is. is this the sequel to "I did not want Zeke ass,"?) "MOM, you're embarrassing me in front of my beefy boyfriend," "Thank you for fitting us into your SHHHHEDULE," "Does Piltover harness electricity from the pain of drug addicts? Do they get their water from the tears of the downtrodden?" *british "Good people in undercity?! Pish-posh," "Aw, stop. Cry me a river. When are you going to stop running away? Boo-hoo," "I've been working on this project. It's in my bed. Can you come help me with it?" "When you hug your crush, and get. Vaporized. We've all been there," "It Shigaraki-ed her," (HELP) "The only one who can save us now is Uncle Heimerdinger (and Ekko)," "We haven't seen Jayce fight yet. What we HAVE seen, though, is his muscles," *looks to the heavens "Uncle Heimdinger, save us. We are lost, and confused without you. You were right; I am so sorry to have doubted you. We were too impatient. We should have waited a few hundred years to figure it out,"

The worst part of that Viktor scene was, because of the block on the Undercity, Viktor couldn't get shimmer. Which was needed to make the mutation survivable. He tried it without the shimmer but he was going to die. Sky unintentionally saved his life by taking on the brunt of the damage. Poor Viktor though, accidentally killing his childhood friend in an attempt to save his own life.

War2244

could that possibly be the best acapella cover of ''My War'' from aot?

Maurice Adler

That moment when Sky becomes literal powder

T-mo

Thats actually just how English people say schedule lol

Mers0n

Yes Powder has a anxious attachment style - she’s insecure about relationships and fears abandonment therefore she’s constantly seeking validation from others she’s close with Vi on the other hand has a avoidant attachment style - like you said she has trouble trusting others and often tries to do everything on her own, she also runs away from her problems This youtube video called “Vi and Jinx - Therapist Reacts” goes into a lot more detail about their attachments styles and how their trauma related to it. I highly recommend, it amazing. Link: https://youtu.be/azilZLs_2j4

Megan

I love how they did the Viktor scene at the docks. In the beginning of the last episode, Viktor was struggling to catch up to his toy boat and in this episode he is passing all the boats in the docks.

Angel Hernandez

i feel like it made it harder considering jinx already shot at them and she wasnt gonna listen with caitlyn around, since jinx already views her as the the villain so i dont know what vi couldve said in that situation while holding caitlyn to make her listen. idk i understand your pov tho bc it was awkward with them just staring at each other not saying anything.

Amber

Whoa, didn't notice that! Nice catch!

arcana✦vox

I also didn't expect for Sky to receive the Thanos treatment on first watch, lol. Poor thing.

It’s interesting the differences between Powder and Vi, even before they became adults, besides some of the obvious ones. The one I have in mind is their ability to form connections. While Vi is naturally distrustful of those around her and seems to have a hard time forming meaningful relationships, Powder NEEDS human connection. She clung to Vi’s side as a child and had a mental breakdown when left behind (the first time when Vi went to get Vander). These were only inflated after the incident, where Vi became more prickly and Powder was in far more need of validation and human connection. Also, as a side note, I know it’s pretty much a lost cause for the comments to try to convince you that Silco and Powder are platonic, but a man can try. I think that, outside of the show, the weird body language is meant to sort of show the unnatural nature of their relationship, as Silco is basically encouraging her insanity, when Powder is clearly not in the right mind, and while they both definitely care for one another, mutual care is not enough to make one a good parent, manifesting itself in a seemingly twisted relationship. In universe, I would say that, Powder’s love language is definitely physical touch (as seen with her as a child and her interactions with Vi), combined with her clinginess and clear current lack of social mindset, and since Silco has never really learned to be a proper parental figure and never really seems to discipline Powder, it’s likely that this just simply developed overtime as Silco just allowed her to do things like lean on him and and put her head on his, like in the fourth episode (which she would have developed as a child, not a teenager). On top of this, he likely has no idea how to interact with a daughter figure, which, again, started when she was a child, when things like this were seen as harmless. The point is that it’s difficult to expect normal interactions from someone who seems to have absolutely no idea what raising a child is, and young adult who has suffered from severe mental illness for years.

Chris Sharpe

also, you're the only reactor i've seen who is as hard on Vi as I am. like... WHY didn't she talk to Jinx on the bridge? because caitlyn had shrapnel in her leg? I don't understand it.

Lulu

bruh got me rethinking every interaction i've ever had with my dad lmao

Lulu

Just went back and saw :)

Alex G

Should have put a sock on the door handle. Keep Sky away while crushing her dreams.

ComicalSkate

Yeah I know she was down bad for him but my reaction to walking in on my boss spazzing around like he's summoning a demon as magical energy swirls around him, I'd be like NOPE and turn right around out of that office. Though to be fair she does work with magical materials so maybe she is seeing it from a scientific view of "Oh no something has gone wrong with his experiment" and like he is being electrocuted. But even then you aren't supposed to directly grab onto someone being electrocuted! So yeah maybe she is just a bit of a moron lol

ComicalSkate

Pretty sure the Sevika hate is just him reiterating Jinx's feelings for her. Caitlyn's Elitist Mom feels genuine though and honestly, understandable.

ComicalSkate

Did you catch Jinx in the background during the very last scene? She’s kinda tucked into the corner.

Megan

Sky, Victor's assistant, has to be the dumbest motherf***er on the planet. Oh, my scientist boss is transfusing with the literal Sun? Let me go hug him! Obviously her death is sad and its gonna effect Victor a lot even though it isn't his fault at all, but jesus christ she has to have maybe 5 braincells if THATS her reaction to seeing someone combining with a literal portal to blue hell.

benj

LOVE love love the scene of Viktor running. It's so simple but so effective. Also, while Viktor didn't know the hexcore would or could vaporize someone, he DID keep meddling with this weird drug-and-blood-fuelled ritual with a power he didn't fully understand, against advice from someone who was more familiar. So there's that. I might not go so far as to say it's ALL his fault, but it's also not really an innocent accident. I mean the guy could've at least put up a "Do not enter" sign or something lol

Xylen

Amazing 8 eps in the 2nd to last episode and i finally get what's going on LMAO

Brimmy

RIP Sky (the girl whose down bad for Victor) you where to Arcane what Marco was to Attack on Titan Sky was in the scene with Viktor in his flashback a few episodes ago, so they might of known each other as children. The scene where Viktor runs for the first time there’s boat in the background and he’s running faster than it’s moving. I’m pretty sure it’s a call back to his flashback where he can’t catch up to his toy boat because of his legs.

Megan

Yeah, I'd imagine it's similar to the way real countries/companies take advantage of cheap foreign labour and resources, but with the added bonus of having exclusive control of those things (while keeping it at arm's length because it's "over there"). And I imagine the undercity has little choice because of their location and current state, they basically have to sell their resources and labour to Piltover who then sells or uses them for great profit. This is mostly speculation based on passing dialogue in the show though.

Xylen

I think that Piltover makes a lot of money from the mines in the undercity. Couple that with the fact that they probably utilise cheap labour and still collect taxes despite not investing in the undercity, you can see why a lot of councillors would be against their independence. If we assume the undercity is more densely populated than topside, their independence would mean losing access to a large portion of taxable population, revenue from the mines, and access to cheap labour. I imagine being able to tax the people without investing in any infrastructure or services is a pretty lucrative situation.

LMFAO

Megan

"Jayce has got a lot more beef than this guy" oh innocent Alex doesn't know a femboy when he sees one, Mel's mom is obviously pegging that man lmaoo

Francesca White

also not to mention like 5 times in the show now it's been reiterated that he sees her as a daughter, even in this scene the guy knocks Silco out because "he once too had a daughter" and knows Silco wouldn't want to see his daughter in pain

Francesca White

I think you hate Sevika and Caitlyn's Elitist Mom more than anyone else in any show we have watched on your channel LMFAO, you hate them more than Invisible Girl it seems. Shits so funny. Always gotta find someone to pick on in these shows.

benj

i'm sorry but i really don't see how you could think that kiss to the forehead was "sensual" 😭 like i get the water scene, it does look like for a sec he might kiss her, but like the kiss to the forehead??? while she's dying?? i don't see anything sensual about that lmao

Francesca White

She's one of the most intriguing characters for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing what becomes of her character

Alex G

The one thing I never thought this show would give me, as amazing as it was already up to this point, was Mel backstory. And than we get a full on Mel flashback scene in the intro. She is easily one of my favorite characters in Arcane and she's often overlooked because people write her off as just Jayce's female interest who is using him which albeit there is probably some truth there, but she has a lot of interesting motivations and personality herself. For me, she is just as fascinating of a character as Viktor or Jayce or any of the other adults. I was beside myself with joy during these next two episodes as there seemed to be a total newfound focus on Mel and her mom. This show proves people don't dislike female characters overall or have a bias against female characters, its just that we are totally starved of actually well written female characters in popular media, and this show has a quite frankly ridiculous amount of incredible women leads, probably more than any other show I know.
