I didn't realize that there was a connection to actual locations. That's a great detail. For some reason watching this the city reminded me of places I've been not in Japan but in China and Taiwan. Though that may just be because I spent way more time in those places than I have in Japan.

I cannot stress enough how ufotable goes far above and beyond in its duty to portray Early Taisho Era Tokyo, and Japan in general. There are 3 very important shots this episode that showcase the extreme attention to detail the animators put into this series: The First one (https://i.imgur.com/D3hfknu.jpg) is the most iconic view of the Asakusa Shrine, well visited these days. It still looks a lot like it does today. The Second one (https://i.imgur.com/3UOzIgp.jpg) is a pan out shot outside the Shrine. By far the most important shot being The Tower Ryounkaku (https://i.imgur.com/E2rqfwh.jpg) is a short lived tower, but a very important one. It had the first elevator in Japan and it was built around the same area today as the Tokyo Skytree Tower. It was built in 1890 and demolished in 1923 because of damage it received in an earthquake. I got all this from reddit, thought it was really cool stuff, I'm a bit of a history nerd myself.

Man I love how he dicects every scene. A lot of channels just kinda react to it but I feel like there is something more here and i like it. Its not like eny other channel I've watched.

What an intro to Muzan, a really intimidating villain. One thing i always found weird about this episode is what's gonna happen to the guy he left after the swamp demon, i mean he's gonna show up with a girl who remembered getting grabbed from her home and a bunch of trophies from previous missing girls, and demon bodies don't stay around so he's just gonna come across like some insane serial killer

THIS is how you introduce a villain. I love how once he knew what Tanjiro was intending to do he immediately infects a random dude in front of his face. That's just such a massive "Fuck you" from a guy who killed your whole family. Michael Jackson Demon seems to check all the boxes for a villain to me. Scary? Check. Powerful? Check. Has motives? Check. Has a human side to him? Check. Mysterious? Check.
