New Show Announcement (finally) and Rough Schedule

Oh, MHA Vigilantes! I'd love that, but what would it look like, a review/retrospective per volume or arc, maybe, or more like a read-a-long? Btw, has anyone suggested Mob Psycho 100 yet? I'm curious what your take on Reigen and Mob and their respective life philosophies would be?

I just started reading Vigilantes and personally, I am loving it. I very much think you'll enjoy it as well, because unlike with MHA, the world is already there, and we know about it. This makes it so they can focus less on setting up the world and more on the characters and further developing the world. I'm only a few volumes in so far and I'm told it gets even better, so here's hoping you can do some sort of content on it at some point!

I don't like sounding like a downer, but i have to get it off my chest. The future shows on your watchlist i'm just not interested in :( and i get it. Knowing the best shows that will engage both you and the audience is difficult and contains a lot of guess work. I'll be watching on Patreon until the end of MHA S3. I'll most likely be back to supporting you on Patreon down the road, but right now just isn't for me. I am and forever will be a subscriber on Youtube, because i love how close your thinking, experience and stance on life is compared to my own. I'll be watching from the sidelines to see how you're doing and what shows you're watching. 100% will be back for when you get around to Mob Psycho. :)

so thrilled you decided on fruits basket!!! was just watching one of your MHA reactions earlier and part of your commentary reminded me of one of the many many emotional threads explored in fruits basket, you’re really gonna have a ball with it i think. i also think the sub is a bit more nuanced than the dub, if you would possibly consider switching to sub - but ultimately i’m glad you’re watching the show at all, whichever version you choose!

However, and I've been thinking this over quite a bit. Since it'll be semi weekly is it possible we could get the reactions to the subtitled version of to your eternity? I think it'll be fine either way as the dub isn't bad from what I've heard. But the subtitled version has some really great voice actors. Still totally get that it's more of a pain to edit with subtitles I'm excited it'll be on the channel either way

You know, TYE semi weekly still works because there's only going to be 20 total episodes for the season. It's not like AOT or MHA in that theres 60+. But Fruit's Basket makes sense because it is longer I'm okay with this, it's a good setup imo!

IMO both sub and dub have their strengths, I watched in dub first so it doesn’t sound to bad to me. The dub is really funny and Tohru’s voice is so perfect. One problem with the dub is that they seem to reuse at lot of voice actors though. I’ll be happy with either.

Hyped for Fruits Basket if its in sub, not sure if I'll be able to watch extended versions in english tbh. Anime's are 99% of the time significantly better in sub with a couple key exceptions here and there, this is just my opinion but I will be honest in saying that FB will be hindered by watching an alternative version of it, maybe I'm wrong though. I'm dying to see you react to slice of life content so honestly I'll probably just force myself to get used to the change anyways.

Yeah it will be a little bit of a wait but maybe not quite that long. I'll definitely put it on the list of voting choices for the next show after MHA. And also, at 26 episodes out right now, I'd start it about 9 weeks before season 2 comes out, so if the release date is the summer that means I'll probably start watching this coming spring.
