Author Note (Memhed Update):
Added 2025-08-05 21:54:28 +0000 UTCHey all, quick heads-up on a couple corrections. I got a bit too deep into the weeds on historical detail for the battle and ended up slipping on something basic: Mehmed’s age and identity. The prince at Edessa should actually be Şehzade Alaeddin Ali (b. 1425 – d. 1443), son of Murad II and Hundi Ümmügülsüm Hatun. In our timeline, he was Murad’s favorite, served as governor of Manisa and Amasya, and died in a riding accident during a Karaman campaign. He’ll be stepping into the narrative in place of Mehmed.
Also flagged: Bayezid was Murad’s grandfather, not father, and it’ll be corrected in the text.
Lastly, for those wondering about Trebizond’s POV, it’s not forgotten. Just keeping focus on the central arc and aftermath for now. Their chapter will come.
Thanks for catching these and for reading along! A new are begins!

2025-08-06 01:42:39 +0000 UTCI feel there is going to be huge civil war in future. I mean if there is no Mehmed the Conqueror the shockwaves to history would be unprecedented. Because there won’t be no Sulieman the magnificent either. The geopolitical changes alone and the ripple effects to history.
