Time for another art update!
So in the former art update I was talking a bit about adding the option to have June keep her "jungle". I was adapting some existing scenes which wasn't much of a problem, but one of them which I was still working on had to have some of it's options deleted. The bushy option just wouldn't play nice with some of the older files. At least not without doing a lot of extra work and still not looking how I'd like it to be. So I've been deleting parts of that and decided to perhaps do another scene with her. To be clear, we will have the option for June to have pubes, but It's just a new scene which I'll have to change some more before I can add it.
Btw. although I personally like to draw women as smooth as can be, I had an odd sensation when flipping between the different stages of grooming where the hairy one looked like the correct one and the shaven one the deviation. My usual reaction is quite the opposite. Since I seldomly draw pubes I'm always afraid it looks like glued on roadkill so I'll just consider this sensation a good sign!
I've also started work on a new Pornlove, because where would the FET world be without it's dirty magazine? I haven't shown or told the coder yet about what I'm doing exactly because I want it to be part of a surprise. Let's hope he'll like it or else the only place you'll be seeing this particular issue is in an "Art assets" update sometime in the future. I wouldn't consider that a waste, but still... that's not it's intended purporse.
I had trouble getting some of it to look good without really understanding what was wrong with it. There was just something about it which was irking me. After some tinkering I think it was a background color which was "colliding" with the colors of the character. I won't truly know if the change is better until I can look at the pic with fresh eyes after a few days though. Flipping a picture horizontally can also help to figure out what's wrong, but that only works for checking the lineart.
- Okay let me go off on a short tangent here, this has nothing to do with FET so you can skip this part entirely. That mirroring trick also works when you haven't drawn the picture yourself. And that's incredibly strange to me. I've always figured you just can't see a mistake because you been staring at the pic for so long you've gotten used to it's characteristics and mirroring is breaking that. However a few days back someone asked me for some feedback on a drawing and out of habit I flipped the paper which is when both me and him saw a glaring error which both of us didn't notice at first. So apparently there's more to this flipping thing than I initially thought. -
Back on track! A new scene drawn from a particularly difficult point of view made me feel like wrestling a bear. I really like it now, but the amount of redrawing I had to do to get there was incredibly time consuming. That's fine with me but I just hope spending that long on it hasn't made me blind for some of it's shortcomings (even after mirroring it).
I've started giving Ajala some more attention and made a few scenes for her. I think the players will prefer seeing more of the canon avatar characters, but we'll need Ajala to further some of the story and we can have some more varied body types when including her as well. She's pretty much going to be a slightly darker skinned Rei from a body perspective.

Aside from that I've been obsessing over a few new idles(redrawing them ad infinitum), some new maze/tunnels stuff and trying to do a little bug hunting with bugs who love to play hide and seek.
My personal favorite girl (to treat horribly) Joo Dee, has had virtually zero attention from me since the last art update. I'm so sad about that :( She needs to have super degrading things done to her and be thankful for it... but no such luck this time. Next time JD, next time!
We'll still have to see what we can manage to put in for the next build. Most of what I'm talking about in this update is still a work in progress and as such impossible to add. We think there's already a nice bit of new stuff in the new build, but we'll always try to cram in more as we finish it!
