Art update 27

Wooohoo art update 27!

Well, I can finally talk more freely about what we've been doing! Most of you will have had the chance to play around with the new build. If you haven't and don't want to be spoiled you might want to avoid reading the rest of this update. 

So we've been getting a lot of positive feedback on Toph which I was really happy about. Like I've said before, Toph was a stubborn character to get a handle on and I'm pretty sure she'll remain that way, but at least the beginning is there!

And yes we even added some variation in the size of Toph's breasts. We really weren't planning on doing that originally, but the coder/writer came up with a good way of including it without making things very hard on me so you'll have some limited control over part of Toph's curves. Just please don't expect this to carry over to all of her other scenes!

We've also managed to sneak in an old granny(Toph),because we really had to uphold our tradition of putting in at least one old woman in each book. We hope that scared you a lot :)  Especially when she offered to show you her non saggy tits! 

When it comes to sexy scenes we were somewhat disappointed we weren't able to put in more than we have. We certainly haven't been slacking off, but there was just so much else to do and finish first. 

Speaking of which, man those buildings are absolutely horrible to draw. I'm mostly talking about the ones which you can put down yourself. They were looking very bad at first because the perspective was all over the place when you'd place them where I hadn't planned them to be. 

In the end drawing them orthogonally(does that word even exist?) solved the problem. Looking back it's pretty much what everyone else does, but I always come up with solutions to problems the rest of the world has already solved since  the beginning of time.  

I often do things backwards. For example, some people like drawing and then eventually start drawing sexy stuff. So they're basically artists who also draw naked people. Me? .....Not so much. 

I started out liking sexy stuff and then wanted to draw some myself. I completely skipped everything else. When it comes to the many  different things which are needed to draw for a game there are many new grounds for me to tackle. 

Another thing I had to tackle was a really nasty cold. It's the time of the year to catch those when you reside on the northern hemispere. It had me being unproductive for at least a couple of days and only at half power afterwards. There's really little as demotivating as wanting to work on something but not being able to. although I can still feel it lingering in the back of my throat I'm pretty much back at full power. 

Ah Katara, were you happy to see her?  We like the contrast between the first two books, red vs blue, gentle main  girl vs mean main girl etc  and having an entire book in between book 1 and book 3 just makes it feel much more like a happy reunion to see her again.

We really went all out in adding new things to book 3 and damn does that take a lot of time. Makes me very happy I managed to talk the coder out of some of his other ideas for book 3. There's only so much which we can  humanly do and there's always still book 4.

Btw. you haven't seen all the characters yet so don't despair if your favorite isn't there yet. We have a couple more, but they're going to be introduced (and abused heheh) in the future builds. We'll do our best to go as fast as we can without dropping quality but I can't help to sometimes wonder where we would be if we had done the other books in the same vein as book 1.  

The first woman you meet in Book 3 is Joo Dee and I've just finished a scene with her which will be very fitting for the slave route. Like I said in the last art update, I had never even considered adding her to our female roster untill the coder mentioned her. After the first moment of surprise she quickly became a favorite of mine and I've been having a lot of fun drawing her in this scene.

I've also put the finishing touches on a Toph scene so the coder can bury himself once more. He told me he would need some new stuff for the arena soon(crabs?) so until I hear more about that I'll do my best to spend my time on drawing more naked girls/scenes for book 3, because that never gets boring :)   

Besides.. we're back to our original one build a month shedule so it'll be a tight fit. It always is and that counts double because of Christmas. That time of the year you can't get out of some social obligations no matter how much you wished you could :) 

Well, time to make the time we have count. It may be just the fourth to everyone else, but to us it's already the fourth!

ps I discovered you can use uncooked spaghetti as a replacement for your pen nib when you can't find your replacements anywhere(and are crazy enough to try it!)
