Art update 25

Happy Halloween to all of you! I've been pretty busy but couldn't let Halloween pass without at least acknowledging it in my own twisted way. Nope, we don't have an ingame  Jack-o'- lantern like the last time, just a pic of three girls dressed for the occasion. Less is more when it comes to Halloween outfits :)

I think I'll have some proper previews of Toph for you in my next art update, but for now you'll have to make due with our Halloween monster girls. See the attached file for a bigger/better version of what can be glimpsed in the header of this post.

Toph is mostly still under wraps *badum tsssh*. It's a quick drawing. Quite frankly I want to sink as much time as I can in making stuff for the build you will receive in about a month. Thinking of it as "it's still an entire month from now", is a pitfall I'm not going to step into! 

Well, like you probably know, we don't have a build for you anytime soon. For everyone who voted to at least have a small introduction build this month we can only say we understand your pain! As much as you guys like to receive a new build, we like putting them out. But I really think postponing it was the right decision. 

During the weekend you guys were voting, I was pretty much going crazy trying to get all the files ready for if the vote turned out to be in favor of a small new build. Most of the character idles for the introduction were done but I also needed a lot of small stuff(and backgrounds) which weren't done yet. I did manage to finish those but not all to my satisfaction so I'm damn glad I've now got the time to "sand down" some of these.

The coder was already very pleased with them, but I'm pretty sure I can get some of it to look better. There's one character I'm pretty pleased with myself and thinking about the things I'll do to her makes me grin in a decidedly not pleasant way...hehehe. I'm not prepared to tell you who it is but she's none of the major characters and will be the first one you'll meet in book 3.

 And that's what I've been doing, drawing/refining a few idles, getting some backgrounds ready and oh yeah, drawing a shitload of buildings, buildings some more buildings and roads! Hmmm maybe not a shitload, but it certainly feels like I've nothing but draw those the past week. Basically if it's not naked girls doing things or having things done to them, I'd like to be done with it as soon as possible :)

I've also started work on what will be Toph's first scene. I've already done some things for scenes later in the game, but definitely not appropriate for a first one. We'll need a bit more of a sliding slope to get things going and immediate hardcore action (though nice) is not the way to go.

A relatively tame first scene is what's needed and that's what I've been working on these last few days. And happily so! Contrary to drawing buildings/roads I can draw naughty stuff pretty much all day and still feel energised when I'm done! 

If you happen to come across a couple of girls dressed in slutty Halloween costumes tonight, give 'em a long lecherous look from me because I'll be too busy drawing to do it myself ;)
