Art update 21

The good news is... I have no bad news this time! That certainly wasn't the case last time I did one of these! The coder has dealt with the last remnants of his virus and aside from our schedule being wrecked we're trying hard to catch up and NOT turn this into a permanent setback.
Since we're working on getting book 2 finished all sorts of things pop up which need extra work. Some by choice and some by necessity. We're going to have some different endings which honestly isn't the most efficient way of doing things when you're pressed for time. Still, we think it'll make for a better experience. We purposely kept all of these choices open so you won't have to replay the entire route just because you didn't say "a" when you should've said "b" at the beginning of the route.
That means I've been drawing some more art where ever needed, filling in some gaps and adding some extra's here and there. And here I was thinking I had done all of it already. I'm gonna keep it nice and mysterious again, but currently mostly Azula, some Lia stuff, a few more backgrounds a bit of dreamstealer etc etc.
I've also started drawing some things for the next book. Nothing too complicated , but I at least have to have some rough temp art ready for the coder to work with once we finish book 2. And because we got a bunch of reactions on the question of which way we should go with Toph(visually aging her up or not), I've also been able to start to work on that. Since those main character idles are what you'll be seeing most I want to get an early start.
Btw, thanks a lot for all the comments and ideas for Toph. I'm happy to see the brunt of our patrons favor the original pint sized one. Some ideas like having a potion to age her up would(and can still) be nice, but having two versions of all the scenes with her isn't really doable anymore. Katara's booby potion was only possible because it was very limited in scope and the scenes were a lot smaller back then.
That's not to say we are going to totally forget everyone who did vote for an aged up Toph though. We might still play around a tiny bit with the "Alice in wonderland" concept.
But let's not get too ahead of where we are right now, we still have to finish book 2 first and there's lots to do before we get there. Time's ticking away the days relentlessly so we need to tick back harder.

But when we are talking about girls from the original series, there aren't that many choices for the Earth Kingdom imo (compared to all the characters in The Legend of Korra for Book 4). So I just tried to come up with some of those characters, that I do remember, hoping that Mity-senpai will notice me. :D

2017-08-29 22:35:01 +0000 UTCAlthough Toph is definitely the main appeal of Book 3, it would be really nice to see Suki (and the other Kyoshi warriors / maybe even Avatar Kyoshi or Ty Lee as a Kyoshi warrior in some way), June, the freedom fighters and Bumi (just for the laughs) as well. :)

Also that would allow you to create different pictures just for that. Like the original toph but I wouldn't mind a few nights from time to time with the adult version.
