This piece is how I imagine a werewolf's skull to be. Cranium is basically human anatomy it was really fun trying to create a set of of wolf teeth and moveable jaw. Done in clay and apoxy. It's rough, but my idea was to create something desk worthy, in this case a curiousity an ornament. I've been working on this idea for over a year, sculptures take hours of my time but all in the hope to create a saleable product, learning something in the process and have fun.
The past few months have been something of a battle of artwork and sculptures. It's a difficult balance, I can't do everything I want in the time I have. The focus is all building up to returning back to conventions in 2022; with Confuzzled only 5 weeks away, I'll have this piece and others at my den table.
However, this sculpt might be done but it's not a finished product - a mold needs to be made, then casts taken, trimming, airbrushing and hopefully adding springs to the jaws will articulate them. I've no idea, I go at a lot of my stuff basically blind and see if it works!
Finished prototype in the next few weeks I expect.
