Travis also has views on the two hundred million dollar ‘ballroom’ planned for the White House.

The PG basically rehashes the old puritan notion that wealth is a sign of god's favor, which in turn is just a rehash of the ancient greek idea of kalos kai agathoi. And Reagan, well, he and his acolytes transmuted the new deal principle of social meritocracy (ie, it is the responsibility of society to help all people survive and thrive, regardless of background) into the neoliberal principle of individualist meritocracy (ie, it is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that anyone can survive and thrive, regardless of background). These two phenomena together, have created the situation where it is possible for "anti-elite" MAGA americans to support a fancyboy elite like Trump regardless of what he does. He is wealthy, and powerful, therefore he must be right(eous). He is right(eous) therefore he has wealth and power. A perfect cycle of thought termination.
