Donald Trump is advancing novel ways of denying reality. He claimed that an authentic photograph of the crowd at a Harris rally was somehow generated by artificial intelligence. This bizarre claim was a bridge too far for even some ardent Trump supporters.

The former president also attempted to boost his languishing campaign by publicly chatting with Elon Musk via “X Spaces” on the microblogging platform formerly known as Twitter. Julian listened to the ghoulish conversation in its entirety, nearly sapping his will to podcast.
