Added 2023-07-12 19:35:24 +0000 UTCAfter years of delays, the film “Sound of Freedom'' has finally hit theaters. The movie stars majorly pilled QAnon-promoting actor Jim Caveizel. He portrays Tim Ballard, the founder of the anti sex trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad.
This film is bound to be a big boon for Tim Ballard. He is a former Department of Homeland security agent, but starting about a decade ago he made a name for himself thanks to stories of bold, daring missions helping rescue abducted children and arresting traffickers. Sex trafficking is in fact a very real and serious problem that is being actively fought by many governmental and nongovernmental organizations. But investigations into Ballard discovered that he exaggerates or sometimes outright fibs about his role in helping victims of trafficking. Similarly, Operation Underground Railroad claims partnerships with law enforcement and corporations that aren’t actually real.

2024-12-03 03:42:35 +0000 UTCI was back in my hometown this past week visiting my parents and boy was I surprised when Sound of Freedom came up at the dinner table lol. Apparently my aunt (who married a Trumper/MAGA) told my mom about the movie so they went to see it on her recommendation. They were shocked to learn this side of Tim Ballard and Operation Underground Railroad. They couldn’t believe that people like Ballard are given the platform of a national movie release!

2023-08-01 03:54:36 +0000 UTCGreat episode! Speaking of this movie besting Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom is 100% a better anti-child -trafficing movie and hits the points this one is trying for. Sxary foreign people stealing children, evil religion up to and including possession of the hero character, neutralization of the child trafficing group, and oh yeah he rescues ALL THE CHILDREN, not just a couple. TOD might not be a good movie, but it's better than this one.
