Premium Episode 195: International Militant Conspiracism feat Miro Dittrich & Cam Wilson

Germany. Australia. Two stories of conspiracy theorists that paint an evolving picture of a now international dissociative movement. German law enforcement say they uncovered a plot by local sovereign citizens to overthrow the government and install as head of state a descendant of German nobility. To help us make sense of the plot, we are joined by German extremism expert Miro Dittrich.  The second story is from Australia, where a 47-year-old prepper named Gareth Train shot and killed three people. Investigations revealed that Train was active on conspiracist sites prior to the killings. Journalist Cameron Wilson from the Australian publication Crikey will join us to discuss the details of the killings, as he discovered a Youtube channel operated by the perpetrators.

I still can't believe Neil Oliver got pilled! Loved Coast and his programmes on vikings etc

Found this. This guy is a former BBC archaeology show favourite who appears to have gotten pilled. Might be interesting to have analysis about him and other UK folks: https://m.youtube.com/@Neil-Oliver

That autoQ is gold. Thinking about where I can recycle it…

Red Balloon

Holy shit, that autoQ.

Ian Story

Mutual aid networks could be a solution there.

Agree, sadly. There’s a theory (totally forget where I heard this) that argues that the more powerless a person feels or a people feel about their situations, the more they crave chaos to intervene because they see it as an agent that would bring about the change they crave, and the more stable you are, the more you crave stability. In that sense what you’re saying is really important, like the need to address the underlying problems and sense of powerlessness conspiracists feel (tho it sounds not fun) - like there needs to be something to fill the gap I guess. Sigh. Basically impossible in late stage capitalism…

‘We need to figure out how to bring alienated people back into society. It’s a bigger problem than some video someone saw on telegram.’ — I completely agree with this sentiment. I think part of what we’re witnessing are symptoms of disassociation that result from the dehumanizing effects of late stage capitalism.

Who knew I had a lil’ Christmas Tree in me noggin. That Auto Q was 😙👌

Elle BelAnge

I’m placing this here because it might be a great auto Q in the future. But also… looks like former followers are leaving the Q movement: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRqE396Y/

Kate Faust

yooo that auto Q tho. Confusionism at its finest.

Peter Lynn

had a realization at the end of the first segment that this feeling of lack of community is not unique to me but rather is a touchstone or my generation (millennials and on) There's a reason why these movements are growing. Having purpose is important.

Peter Lynn

That auto Q was…a lot

Justin Hubbard

Thank you so much for doing this!

This auto queue was maybe the most brainmelting in recent time.
