I think he's buying all copies of catcher on the rye so other people can't so they don't get radicalized after reading it (and it was the book Mark David Chapman carried - the man who killed John Lennon)

God I'm watching this movie right now and somehow it's easier to digest knowing that the boys did this episode already.

After listening I went to https://www.spyculture.com and found a declassified portion of a CIA internal newsletter "What's News" in which Patrick Stewart was interviewed during his Langley visit in December of 1997 (After the release of Conspiracy Theory). Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's murderer, is the one who held onto copies of The Catcher in the Rye wherever he went. Oswald allegedly just had a copy on his bookshelf. However, there are conspiracies surrounding the book because of its presence in other things.

The watery DPW oatmeal is the best, it's like sucking down lukewarm emesis.

It didn’t come close to breaking even. “Conspiracy Theory” was created to be a training film for the organization that was the pre-curser of OAnon...the dreaded “Vogelhäuschen” . Now it’s morphed into a documentary that’s shown to new acolytes of QAnon. At the end of the “movie” Jerry becomes an intelligence agent. Isn’t it obvious? Jerry is Q.

The Parallax View (1974) comes highly recommended to conspiracy fans.
