Excellent riposte! Just remember kiddies, the only words you should ever say to the police if detained are 'I want to speak to a lawyer.' Take it from a former dispatcher, the police are NOT there to help you nor is justice being particularly well-served at any point in time. Generating numbers, 'closing' crimes/cases, and deflecting negative attention (all of which lead to continued budgetary support...) are the priority, don't forget that.
