What do you all think of brutal predators?
Added 2020-07-09 01:38:25 +0000 UTCI happen to like them and was sorely considering adding such a predator to the story. (I already have plans for a meanie one as it is. Possibly two.)
To define; brutal predators being predators who use semi-hard vore and other very forceful methods to take down prey. Such methods include; body slamming, biting, breaking bones, biting throats, thrashing prey, etc.
Imagine if you will a Deathclaw who charges up in a full sprint and tackles her prey to the ground, but rather than swallow it straight away, she first snaps her jaws over their head and bites down before thrashing them around like a ragdoll until their spine breaks. Only then does she swallow her meal once they're paralyzed and unable to fight back. Another example might be one who strangles her meal first by chomping on their throat and crushing their wind pipe before swallowing them whole, or maybe headbutting/ramming them into a wall to knock the fight out of them and then eating them before they can catch their breath.
You get the idea. Is this something that sounds like fun? I'm probably going to include it at some point but this poll will sway whether it's a one time thing or I do it more often.

So long as it fits the setting, which this completely does, I've got no issues with it in the slightest. It'd make for a nice break from the predators who either aren't capable or otherwise too nice to ensure that their dinner becomes just that.
