How Episode 2 will look - New AwA aesthetic! 🎨

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing amazing today!

As we mentioned in previous posts, we’re currently building an entirely new production pipeline designed to achieve a full 2D look using only 3D. Since this approach is completely new to us, we ran into some unexpected challenges along the way D: and had to tackle those first before diving into full production and the juicy shots. 🍆 This has to be one of the hardest things we have ever done since the start of AwA haha!! 🥴💀

But the good news is that we have overcome those challenges and can finally show you how the final style will look with this new workflow!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

In order to really put this new workflow to the test, we have created this small shot that is very reminiscent of the 2D test shot we created a couple of months ago. This helps us all compare the previous and current aesthetic accurately to make sure we are going in the right direction. And we are very happy with the results!

As you can see, even though we’re working with a fully 3D model, the final look retains a distinct feel—very close to our previous 2D aesthetic. We’ve added hand-drawn lines directly onto the model to emphasize the anatomy and enhance that illustrated, drawing-like vibe.

Let us know what you think of this new look! We wanted to be fully transparent about how things will be looking from now on. With the pipeline ready, we’re finally moving into production—and we’re excited to tease that we already have a voice actor for Neil! More details coming soon. 😊
