[WOTD] Ceina redesign - Part 1: Concept

With this post, the redesign process for Ceina begins—the former goddess of humanity and a key pillar in the WOTD story. I believe both Ceina and Satanichia will undergo significant changes, both in appearance and personality.

During the creation of her original design, I was certain that Ceina’s signature color had to be green, as it represents life and nature. This is reflected in her eyes, while for her hair, I chose a light blonde shade.

Something I want to keep for Ceina is her iconic ponytail, though I’m considering trying out a hairstyle with a long ponytail in the back, something similar to the references I’ll share later.

I must admit that Marika (from Elden Ring) seems like an excellent reference for both Ceina and Maria. However, the expression and demeanor of most depictions of Marika aren’t something I’d like to fully apply to Ceina. I want her to retain that expression of kindness, simplicity, and purity that defines her.

One of the aspects I’d like to change is her “age.” But how does one change the age of a goddess who technically has no age?
What I mean is that, until now, her facial features and short stature have made Ceina look like a girl of a similar age to Rachel, Siri, or Alune. This wasn’t part of the initial concept but ended up happening by chance. While it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, I’d now like to give her a more mature appearance—but without overdoing it.

I plan for Ceina to look like she has a physical age closer to Clyde’s, meaning around 24–25 years old. This will include slightly increasing her height and physical attributes, as well as modifying her facial features to reflect the maturity I’m aiming for.

One thing I’m absolutely sure of is that I want Ceina to have a more mystical and mesmerizing aura or appearance. Even though she’s no longer a goddess, as a human, she should retain that divine beauty that makes her unique.

Con este post, comienza el proceso de rediseño de Ceina, la exdiosa de la humanidad y un pilar muy importante en la historia de WOTD. Creo que tanto Ceina como Satanichia serán dos personajes que cambiarán bastante, tanto en su aspecto como en su personalidad.

Durante la creación del diseño original, tenía claro que el color característico de Ceina debía ser el verde, ya que este representa la vida y la naturaleza. Este color se refleja en sus ojos, mientras que para su cabello opté por un tono rubio claro.

Algo que quiero mantener en Ceina es su característica coleta, aunque estoy considerando probar un peinado con una coleta larga en la parte trasera, algo similar a las referencias que compartiré más adelante.

Debo admitir que Marika (de Elden Ring) me parece una excelente referencia tanto para Ceina como para Maria. Sin embargo, la expresión y el semblante de la mayoría de las representaciones de Marika no es algo que me gustaría aplicar a Ceina, al menos no completamente. Quiero que conserve esa expresión de amabilidad, sencillez y pureza que la define.

Uno de los aspectos que me gustaría cambiar es su "edad". Pero, ¿cómo se cambia la edad de una diosa que técnicamente no tiene edad?
Lo que quiero decir es que, hasta ahora, sus rasgos faciales y su baja estatura han hecho que Ceina parezca una chica de una edad similar a la de Rachel, Siri o Alune. Esto no formaba parte de la idea inicial, pero terminó ocurriendo de forma casual. Aunque no era algo malo en sí mismo, ahora me gustaría darle una apariencia más madura, sin excederme.

Planeo que Ceina parezca tener una edad física más cercana a la de Clyde, es decir, alrededor de 24-25 años. Esto incluirá aumentar ligeramente su estatura y sus atributos físicos, además de modificar sus rasgos faciales para reflejar esa madurez que busco.

Algo que tengo muy claro es que quiero que Ceina tenga un aura o apariencia más mística e hipnotizante. Aunque ya no sea una diosa, como humana debe conservar esa belleza divina que la hace única.

Aquí les dejo algunas referencias visuales que encontré y que usaré como inspiración para el rediseño de Ceina. Espero que les gusten y que compartan mi emoción por esta nueva etapa del personaje.
