Update 04/24
Added 2024-04-05 18:57:58 +0000 UTCHey all!
I hope all of you amazing patrons of Yesterworld are doing well and having a good year thus far! I just wanted to provide a super quick update, as I go so long between uploads nowadays, people (understandably) start to become concerned I'm no longer making content...I definitely need to post more updates, I'll work on that.
Anyway, rest assured I am indeed currently wrapping up an episode, and hoping to release it either late April or early May. It's an extensive (and I mean extensive) deep dive into the production history of The Wizard of Oz!
Even more than that, it's an exploration of the original book, the early adaptations in the 1900s, the film's pre-production headaches, the infamous production problems, the now 'lost' footage, etc. Within the episode, I'm also doing a deep dive within-a-deep-dive into the film BEFORE all the cuts were made; the original version audiences would've seen during its first preview screening.
So as you can imagine, it's A LOT to cover, more than I thought it would be when I started out, so once again it's taken me longer than expected to put together. Stay tuned for more information, and thank you to each and every one of you for supporting the channel. These kind of episodes cost a lot more to produce and take quite a bit more time, so any and all support helps! For the remainder of the year, my goal is to choose a couple shorter-length episodes (think 30-40 minutes as opposed over an hour) to make up for lost time.
